Dagoth ur !!!

Hello everybody !!!
I just wanted to know if someone managed to kill dagoth ur without doing any quests in the game ???
My personnage is strong (level 60).... and I tried yesterday to kill dagoth...
without any success....
When he goes in the lave and he has his shield.... it is impossible to touch him...

It's not possible to kill him without either completing some of the main quests, or using the back way.
