How to build the best fighter character?

Post by justabeginner »

I am currently playing an evil Jedi Guardian character who started off with:

STR: 14
DEX: 14
CON: 14
INT: 14
WIS: 14
CHA: 8

The skill points of the character goes into Persuade, Demolitions and Medical. All extra attribute points goes into Constitution, under the assumption that a high CON will let me have powerful implants to beef up my character even more

My character's fighting style is two weapon style, partly for role playing reasons because I'm ambidextrous IRL and also because from KOTOR 1, it seemed two lightsabers with the best upgrades were absolutely brutal...my attack bonus as a Jedi Guardian was low enough to offset the penalties of 2 weapons.

I hardly use any force powers except Master Force Scream, as my character wears heavy armour. I use implants, etc. to protect my character from mind-affecting powers.

Would you say - no spoilers please ;) - that this character of mine is the best fighter you can make without doing something like maxing out the STR/CON attributes to make a wookie :p in the start?

Make sure you get your constitution to 18.

18 constituation lets you use universal D-package(+2 to all attributes). And you get lots of hit points, which is a must for a melee character.

The rest is really up to you. But I wouldn't have my charisma so low ... at some point you'll still want to force lighting a room full of d00dz instead of hacking and slashing.
Dex you won't really need ... weapon master + maraduers already have a bunch of defence and blaster bolt deflection.

yea i think having a low charisma is kinda bad considering this game is about a JEDI/SITH... force powers are really helpful, especially drain life when youre outta med packs (usually early in the game). also, trying to specialize completely in hand-to-hand is useless if the enemy just puts on a melee shield. grenades are out of the questions since youll just blow your brains out with them, and party members tend to use them.... alot

Best Fighter

You guys are talking about medium fighter with avarage stats.
But think for a while about that :
(these are stats on beginning)
Str 18
Dex 10
Cons 14
Int 10
Wis 8
Char 8

As I said these are stats for fighter and only fighter with heavy armor. I you play it the right way Str may reach 32 ( +12) with Master power attack , Nextor and Your Name Saber crystal + emitter (don't remeber it's name) + 12 to damage and great lens this character may kill everything around him.
The Light Side is the only honorable way of the Force that tries to bring peace and happines to the whole Galaxy. If you can master it then you can truely become a Jedi.

Get rid of the heavy armor and take a robe. Keep using Master Speed. Believe me, combined with Master Power attack you'll beat them all down.
Master Critical Strike might also be an option, if you make sure you use two sabers with a 17-20 threat range, so every 1/2 hits is critical.
