Epic Tale: Sex
Part II: Choose either male or female.
I choose female because I ususally am a male and I want to do something different. I think females have a bonus to either will or intell. Either way, female is my choice.

No, it's true, males and females in Morrowind have slightly different starting attributes. All different for each race. I don't have my booklet on me at the moment, but an example might be:
Orc male:
25 willpower
40 strength
25 intelligence
30 agility
30 luck
and blah blah endurance, whatever. The female's would then be something like:
30 willpower
35 strength
25 intelligence
30 agility
35 luck
it's only different by 5, but there are differences between the sexes. So let's say you want to be a really good thief, and you decide to be a khajiit. You may notice that the male has more endurance, but the female has more agility. (for instance) I'm pretty sure it's all in your little booklet thing. Jeez, ya learn something new (about Morrowind) every day, huh?

I think a lot of females play females just because it feels a bit odd otherwise. I suspect a lot of guys play females because they have the Better Bodies mod installed and they like to play in third person.......

Better Bodies Mod? Never heard of it. I don't bother with mods you can find online and just make my own.
I play either, sometimes it's just amusing to have a dainty female character tearing through a crowd of people with a hammer almost as large as she is.
Also, I play with everything in the creater. Rather than being forced to create a ton of new races, I'll tweak the stats and such of certain ones and have completely different set-ups between males and females. That way, I can simply switch genders and have double the race options as before. It's unrealistic, but I can slap my mod with that on if I feel like goofing around with strange ability scores from the start.
Generally though, I'll play more males than females.

"You can do whatever you want to me."
"Oh, so I can crate you and hide you in the warehouse at the end of Raiders?"
"So funny, kiss me funny boy!" / *Sprays mace* " I know, I know, bad for the ozone"

My characters:
Paladin: female
Brawling barfighter: male
Assassin: female
Necromancer: male
Snobbish High Elf mage: female
I always create a background story for my characters, their view on society, their behaviour, their weird habbits, ... When I make a new character, I just... know which gender will fit it best. Female + necromancer just don't go together very well.

Males all the way. I used to play females in games, ever since I started playing Street Fighter and fell in love with Chun-Li. Well, actually, I played a female character before that, Tyris in Golden Axe. Anyway, My Fallout chars and my first time around in BG I played females. It all changed when I got to BG2 with the romance thing and all. When I picked Anomen and he started romancing my female ranger I freaked out and kicked him from the party ASAP! Even since, it's been males, in case a game has romance options.
