Nosferatus and the Giovanni

Post by mjm36 »

Aside from killing everyone in the area, is there a way for a Nosferatu to do the Giovanni mission? As other clans I had no problem using high persuasion, but as a Nossie I can't even approach the door before I'm attacked!

SPOILERS

Are you talking about entering the home? If so, you need to distract the guard at the back entrance. So pick up some objects and throw them to do so (ala the tutorial).

If you're talking about the inner door you need to enter (i.e. to get to the tomb level), you should be able to sneak or use obfuscate to enter it (if your lock pick is high enough).

I've been playing a Gangrel who relies heavily on Fortitude and fire ax, but by the time I reached the Giovanni Mansion, I learned that it's not necessary to kill every opponent in this game. Sure, sometimes you can't sneak past certain people, but you can outrun them long enough to run through the next door. Sometimes they will just follow you through, but often times that door will take you into a different section of the game where those opponents won't follow. This will work especially well when you are up against some slow but tough opponents in the crypts below the Giovanni Mansion.

Btw, the plural of Nosferatu is Nosferatu.

Nossie is a pretty common slang nickname for Nosferatu.

With that said, there is a stealthier approach that any character can take into the Giovanni compound without being detected. There are certainly a variety of tag and run methods that work as well, as you mention. Those certainly serve you well in certain parts of the game (like the Museum), if you don't have enough stealth or obfuscate abilities.
