Stupid Move!

Post by p2572 »

What is the stupidest thing you have done IN GAME!!!. Mine was to go to the twisted rune spend about 8 hours real time fighting the lich and his minions and then leaving without the staff of the magi. When i went to view the walkhrough thinking that the reward for the rune was pretty weak and seeing that i could get the staff i felt like a real **** because it had decayed and i had no recent saves

Talk about being a moron

Having got completely lost looking for something that didn't exist I decided to go back to the Shade Lord Temple. In deciding that I didn't need the Shadow Dragon wardstone when I first finished with it ('won't need that if I'm gonna go back and kill him') i thought I could sneak past.

Boy was I wrong...

I think that mine is a classic starting a new quest WITHOUT saving and accidentally killing an important NPC. Really there is nothing else to do but to make some more coffee and take the latest save game and start all over.
Yours is pretty unique though Image

I killed Firkraag before exploring the upper dungeon-so i havent found dragonslayer, red dragon shield etc.Now imagine a lvl 9 cavalier with 90 HP trying to kill the red dragon with flail of ages (only proficient) while he is specialized in long swords.

Mine is cool:

I took the Unseeing Eye quest (early in the 3rd chapter) and I didn't bother to join the guild. Just went in and killed everybody, the Eye (beholder) included. Later I found out (I think on this Forum) that I couldn't complete the Kangaxx quest. so, it was a looooooong way back to start the quest from the very beggining (just about entering the sewers)

Neglected to buy a scroll case and gem bag before heading out. Dumb. Needless to say came back and purchased them ASAP.

Found the helmet of sarcasm detection in the sewers.

Oh, a sarcasm helmet, that's a *really* useful magic item.

How about at the start of the game, I saw six traps and I have six keys. For some reason I kept having Yoshimo trying to disarm the traps. He keeps getting hurt and in the end, I gave up and still have the keys a week later. Now that's stupid...
