Edwin NPC quest

Post by Rhûn »

I've just reached Brynnlaw and Edwin is mentioning stuff about his NPC quest which I couldn't be bothered to do. Is there a time limit before he will leave if i do not do this and if so, how can I prevent him from leaving?

When you say he is mentioning stuff about the quest, is he saying you should find it, or have you already found it?

I did not get the scroll. I have a save back in Athkatla though, perhaps I should just go and do it anyway?

After much variable testing, I could not find a way to make Edwin forget he had told you about the quest, perhaps someone else may have more luck.

On another note, I am not sure whether that quest is on a timer or not.

If the save you have is not too far behind, I suggest using that, also because the quest takes quite a while to fulfill, I suggest you do it as early as possible.

Probably your best bet is to reload the previous save to keep yourself worry free.

However, I believe that Edwin probably wouldn't leave your party. In the portion of the game immediately post-Brynnlaw NPC related quests are suspended, I believe. I'm not 100% sure about how much time you have, though. So, it would probably bring you greater peace of mind to get it over with.

I agree- you should probably do the quest and then go to Brynnlaw. It would really suck to have him walk away in the middle of all that happens...

Take the safe path to make sure you can keep Edwin, b/c he's an amazing spellcaster.

ive never played w/ edwin for very long,(i like to keep mostly female npcs - Im pimping these hoes  ) and by his quest do you mean the nether scroll? i got it but it doesnt do anythin, or does it? is it an actual item cus i dont have it in the inventory, he sez he'll let me use it but how can I? and i hear mention of edwina? how the hell does he change genders and does he stay like that and does his voice change or is he a shemale? i'll play w/ him again if someone explains how to go about this.

You'll never get your hands on the netherscroll, the quest is just written that way. As for the Edwina thing: it's part of the quest, that's all I can say without giving spoilers.

I would just like to say that the quest is a fun sidebar to have going on during your game, and some of the dialogues you'll have with Edwin during it are very funny. Definitly something you should touch on if you've never done it before.
