While posting in one of the fora, I submitted a spoiler, and in accordance with the recommended practices for such posts, I colored the text black, so you would have to highlight it to read it. A little later, I noticed the following odd thing: When rolling the mouse over the link for that post, the first few lines of the post appear clearly in the pop-up window, allowing anybody to read the first few lines without even opening the post. I'm curious as to whether this is just me and/or my forum (Bloodlines), or the fora in general.
If this is a general problem, then a possible solution would be to supply a checkbox that posters could use to suppress the popup in such cases, thus preserving the secret except from the most directly inquisitive.

An Interesting Conundrum
Sic gorgiamos allos subjectatos nunc
(The Addams family motto: Gladly we feast on those who would subdue us)
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for you are crunchy, and good with Ketchup.

Interesting, I don't think any had thought of it, but I don't think there is much to be done in regards of it, neither do I think it is actually needed.
Perhaps placeing a couple of empty lines in the start of the post could minimize this.
But nevertheless - if you have put the spoiler text in black (applaud, many could learn from that ), and wrote spoiler in the thread title to mark it as a spoiler thread, then you have done pretty much everything you "should" to avoid people getting spoiled if they don't want to.
If people still can read some of the post by hovering over a spoiler post, then they wanted the spoiler anyways, so I think there is nothing to worry about in that regards.
