Gas Mask in Naga Temple

In another post someone mention that there is a gas mask in the Naga Temple to get the Eye of the Sigil from the vat of gas (need to get to the queen). Is this true - I can't find it. Or do I just have to go really fast - I've tried this several times, but die each time. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

The mask provides 100% protection against poison and can be sold for over 15,000 gold later. To get it you have to free the prince first, then the gate that restricts entrance to the area with the mask will be open. It is in the southwest of the dungeon and requires that you pull several levers to get to it. If you find poison spouts everywhere you go and you've freed the prince, then you are probably in the right area.

If you can't find it, then hotkey your poison potions, it may make it possible for you to survive jumping into the area with the sigil. Jump in get the object jump out and immediately hit your poison cure hotkey.

Edit: btw the is a map of this dungeon that is floating around. It is quite helpful if you can find it.
