What's up with the Giovanni and the Kuei-jin? (slight spoilers)

Post by Budalen S-Lag »

What is the connection between the Giovanni family and Ming Xiao? I guess I must have missed something because the dialogs in the Giovanni mansion were totally bugged for me, so I just slaughtered everyone instead. And it turned out that Bruno was a vampire all right, but was he working for Ming Xiao or the Camarilla (or the Sabbat)?

I was always under the impression that the Giovanni acted independently because they're far to human to be with the Sabbat and if they were working with the camarilla Lacroix would have known about them having the sarcophagus.
However i don't really know how the Kue-jin brothers got there, i guess Ming Xiao formed an alliance with both the Giovanni and Lacroix.
I'm so serious it's comical!

I didn't get around to talking to anybody at the Giovanni Mansion, what with all the shooting and sneaking and stuff. But from what I remember from the tabletop game, the Kuei-jin are basically solid ghosts, and the Giovanni are very into Necromancy, so it wouldn't surprise me if they had either a direct conflict or a shared agenda in this game.

I thought that the Kue-Jin were there to steal the sarcophagus back from the Giovanni. Anyway, the Giovanni are allied with no-one. They are independent, since the incestuous tendencies and Necromancy the clan practice make even other kindred uneasy.

The Gio family is known for a tendancy to make love to dead bodies, rip out peoples souls and sell them like candy to each other, enslave tired, sad ghosts and make them commit acts of murder and violence, raise corpses and use them as soliders, perform dark rituals involving insane specters and so on and so forth... They are independant of the Cammerilla and Sabbat, but FAR from human. Death is their business, and thats no way for a healthy man to live.

The KoE, on the other hand, usualy like to consider themselves above all that... However they might have come to realise that the Cammerilla wouldn't be messing with the Gio family if they could help it, but at the same time didn't trust any Western Vampire to keep something that valuable safe... So they agree to let the Gio's keep it and in exchange, several of their vampires are allowed to watch over it.

Maybe...
I was Diablorised once. I got better.

Honestly, do you think it would be difficult for two Kue-Jin to sneak into the Giovanni mansion. I managed it without disciplines, and surely with their funky blue fire and whatnot they could have done it.
