Bard Armor
Returning to this game after much time, I started a Bard/Blade. Can someone be kind enough to refresh my memory as to if/when I can get some armor for a Bard that wont disable his spells. Quite annoying to have to take my leather armor off just to put someone to sleep, then srap it back on to take out the sleeper's friend.
I cannot tell what you and other men think of this life, but for my single self, I had as lief not be as live to be in awe of such a thing as I myself.

Hint: Go watch the play at The Five Flagons Inn (Bridge District).

Life seems short considering how long you will be dead.

My thanks. In a DnD game I never let armor come between a character and their spells (just higher failure chance, no disablment of spells)...but I guess that's the beauty of being the DM, no?
As for the game, I am only in the starting dungeon and wanted to make sure I would find some compadible armor sooner or later; wondering if I should go back to playing a fighter like I did the first time I played the game (though I never finished it).
To the inn I go...

The Bard is a great character, stick with it!

If you visit trademeet and finish the main quest there you will be approached by some nobles who will want you to complete a retrieval quest for you. One of the nobles is wearing a bright green armour that Mage/Thieves (possibly Bards) can wear without affecting their spell casting.
You can kill this noble without getting in trouble, but finish his quest first.

The wealth of replies brought a smile to my face. ^_^
I would like to thank you all for answering and making me not have to regret leaving a Bard out of my group.
When playing DnD, I ALWAYS use a Bard as a messager to the players. I guess I always saw the Bard as being the most suited for being the avatar for the DM. Maybe it's just because the Bard is my favorite class? But who can say. ^_^
It's great to know that there are some people out there that have a fondness like I, for one of the most under rated classes in the game. ^_^
