Can you acquire two second tier classes from the same guild/sisterhood?
Are the class requirements active in patch 1.3 or can you still attain a class, without them?
I am planning my character to be:
Mage/Adept; Valkyrie/Enchantress or Valkyrie/Battlemage; War Witch
But after reading those forums, it seems that advanced Celestial Magic is really useful and not being able to use it could be a problem.
I would like to be a caster who can melee as well so maybe a better choice would be: Mage/Adept; Enchantress/Paladin; War Witch?
I would apprieciate any comments.
And on a different note, I got stuck in Custard Mansion. The cellar door got closed behind me (pressed shift one time too many, while picking and I can't leave the building. I stupidly have been overwriting my saves, which means that I have to start the game all over again. And my character already is at Lv 8, having spent a lot of time fighting random encounters to gain experience. It's really depressing and I wish now that I had spent my early teenage years learning to program, so that I could hack myself out of this.

I haven't checked yet, but I don't think they're active. Are the class requirements active in patch 1.3 or can you still attain a class, without them?
I don't think celestial magic is all that great, but you're probably better off being a paladin than a valkyrie. Both classes give about the same bonuses, but paladins should get access to more celestial spells. I also think, if you really want to be a spellcaster, that you should go the wizard route rather than war witch or warlock because the "spellfire" skill is very useful.I am planning my character to be:

Thank you very much for your answer swcarter.
I have one more question. Does acquiring a second tier Mage Guild class (Sorcerer/Battlemage/Shugenja) give you access to more advanced Arcane Spells?
If it does, then choosing Paladin + Enchantress for my character wouldn't be an option.
Spellfire would indeed be a must if I went for a pure caster but since I am thinking more of a jack-of-all-trades who can both melee and cast, I'd like to go for War Witch.

Oh, I just understood what you meant by advising me to choose the Wizard route. D'oh!
If I went for Mage/Adept; Paladin/Sorcerer; Wizard then I would get all the heavy weapons/defense skills and maximum magic bonuses. I think that's what I'll go for then.
Now just to choose the best race for this setting. I'd like an Elf Female but it would be very difficult to increase the Strength enough to use heavy weapons and armour. I guess human male or female would be the best option here, yes?
I was thinking of going for deathlord and war witch but it isn´t possible to to have two third class tiers, is it?
If that´s the case you can only have one diabolic skill... would be great to be able to at least have two...
You are correct, it is not allowed to have 2 3rd tier classes. There are class combinations however that give 2 diabolical skills.

From this forum I learn that acquiring a second tier Celestial Guild class gives you access to advanced celestial spells. Is it the same with second tier Mage Guild classes? Do they give you access to advanced arcane spells?
Sorry to repeat the question but the build of my character will depend on the answer.

I know that as you take more mage classes, more spells will show up at shopkeepers (like you'll be able to buy blast nova and fire nova at the Arcane Emporium in Fargrove), but I'm not sure what spells show up for what tiers.
