Bridge District. Possible Spoilers

Post by Wookie »

I have finished BG2 a couple of times, but there are still 2 places in the Bridge district I don't understand.

1. Behind door at x=4000 y=1500 there is a party of 4 including at least 1 mage who attack you on sight, but they don't seem to be part of any quest.

2. Building nearest to northern exit (by where you meet the fallen Paladins). This is the house of the Vice Consul of Athkatla. Enter through either of 2 doors, and you get 2 warnings to leave before the guards turn hostile and attack you. If you kill either the vice consul or his servant Pip, you get a reputation drop of 10 points even though they are red towards you. This also doesn't seem to be part of any quest.

Anyone know anything about either of these areas?

To my knowledge there isnt anything special about them, the fight with that gang in the house, is not connected to a quest as far as I know.... and in that house I guess all you learn is to stay away from the noble people.

Both the mentioned areas are parts of quests that didn't make it into the game.

The first seems to have been some kind of ambush/trap, hence they attack without any warning.

The other one was part of Haer'Dalis personal quest wich was tossed out on the grounds that the developers thought that one would not want to free the thiefling a third time in the game (he was to get framed for murder and impisoned. Again).
