Stilled spells

Post by alpawa »

I aquired this feat since it's very usefull to me (Paladin and Sorcerer) and the stilled spells ocupy the slot of a higher level spell; the question is if I can unlearn a stilled spell in order to acomodate a higher level spell? Please tell me how to, since I lost the manual. Many thanks.

You can't.
A stilled spell is not actually a spell of a higher slot. When casting - it just cast as a spell higher then its level and subtracts from the number of castable per day. So you can't unlearn a level 2 spell and get a level 3 spell instead.

However, when you prepare your paladin spells in the spellbook as stilled spells, you'll have to place the L2 spell in your L3 slot due to the metamagic feat. Removing it from there - not unlearning - will free up the L3 slot for either L3 spells or another stilled L2. I don't know if it is this aspect you think of, but you can't unlearn a L2 spell and get room for a L3.
