To Use Or Not To Use

Post by Tech Master »

I was just wondering how many of you guys actually use the boots of blinding speed. Me, i only use them if there is a long trek ahead of me. Or if i just feel like racing cliff racers. So here is a pole for you to uhh...post your preferences on.

I don't like them at all. If I'm going to wear enchanted boots I'd rather have the Boots of the Apostle. They have a high AC and a good levitation spell, far more useful IMO.

Never use them.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I just open the console and type "player -> additem sc_windform 10" whenever I feel that the journey is taking too long.

I NEVER TAKE THEM OFF.
I play on the Xbox so console cheating is out of the picture for me. And I don't think I can gamma-correct my TV bright enough to see.

I just use dispel and put them on, and never take them off. Then, I just enchant a ring with Levitation 1 pt. lol CRAZY ADVENTURE TIME! there's no place I can't get to :D

I voted no, simply because I only bothered to get them after a good amount of time playing the game, and by then I was more than happy/used to running at the normal speed thank you very much :)

I haven't used them, ever. They seem a bit out of place since they're so fast.
I remember coming across them in my very first game, on my very first day. I spent a few minutes staring at my black screen, not understanding the "blinding" joke at all. :o  :D Then I took them of and sold them or something.

I first found them while being Breton so I could see just fine, and WOW such speed-this became my favorite armorpiece.
When playing a different race I simply use a 2 sec. 100% res magicka spell then put them on, thus avoiding the blinding effect.

I don't bother to use them at all. I end up sporting the glass armor and when my enchant skill gets high enough I tweak my equipment with greater soul gems.

Boots (in general) suck

As an Argonian (who kicks arse), I can't say that I've ever worn any footwear (aside from firstguard footshields), and therefore i had to vote that i never used them. Just to see what I was missing, i made a blinding speed spell with the construction engine and gave it a try, and i must say that I wasn't really missing anything at all. What's the point of speeding away if you're speeding away blindly with butloads of bugs going into your eyes?

I never use them, they just spoil all the fun of actually travelling in the game. One of the main perks of the game, for me anyway, is travelling on foot, and the boots simply spoil that. Also, if I do use them, they break easily, and then it is really annoying treking back home bare-footed ;)

Never used them, never tried them.
I was thinking about trying them after I had sold them away. Though, now I can't remember who I sold them to. :p

As a Redguard, I learned to like these things just as soon as I found that certain Cuirass. Coupled w/Goldbrand, if I couldn't defeat it, at least I could run from it.
