Guild of Mystery

If I do not deliver the map .. am I not in the guild? Thing is, I was not aware at the time what the guild was, and I do not want in. It is at the top of my character stats, but is grayed out. I went to the Celestial order place and tried to join, but was told I had joined others and cant...I assume this means I did actually join the Mystery guild??

Right, you already paid the fee and accepted the quest, so you're in the guild and there isn't any way to get out of it.
