Ok guys Im tired of feeling jealous because I play on Xbox and cant get mods. So I'm thinking of buying a computer. I'm looking for a laptop and all I'll do with it is play morrowind. Great right? But I don't know anything about computers. I found one called the Dell inspiron 2200. Here is the link. Will this be compatible with morrowind? Do you guys have any suggestions? Im looking for a laptop under $700

I don't know very much about laptops. But, my desktop is a Dell. I've had it around four years and it has been great!
It's very stable, and still does everything I need it to. (with a few upgrades) Of course, that will change once Oblivian comes out...

You might actually want to post this question in the tech forum though. I suspect that most of us playing on PC are using desktops.

I have a Dell laptop and I have played Morrowind on it. The only problem I have is that the screen is an LCD which makes things awful hard to see especially in the dark dungeons. I suggest playing on a desktop.

You want 1 GB RAM, and at least a 2 gHz CPU. The machine you chose doesn't meet those standards, though I suspect you could upgrade it for extra cash.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I have an LCD screen for my desktop, and IMO it makes the graphics in Morrowind that much more amazing...
Plus it is *much* easier on the eyes IMO

To compensate for the light, you can do several things:
*adjust the brightness on your monitor
*adjust the light settings on your game options screen
*make yourself a ring with CE Nighteye. I have one that provides 20 points Nighteye (and underwater breathing), which I use in dungeons, while diving etc. It lights everything up beautifully.
