console command doesnt work

can somebody tell me why i cant use any cheat in morrowind?
when i try to use any cheat i always get the same message " command not fund on line 1"

Did you type "player->" before your cheats? Btw, why did you leave a giant black space under your post?

Not to sound petty (or DW will get annoyed like on the DB armour thread) but you spelt "found" wrong. Your problem could be to do with this. I sometimes spell things wrong in the console and it comes up with similar things. Otherwise check item ID's in the TES editor - I couldn't spawn weapons until I realised that weapons had to be in quotes with spaces.

Actually, he never stated what command he'd entered. Mooluna only stated the editor response, and misspelt a word in the process--not a dramatic matter, under the circumstances.

On the contrary, syntax error (or, in layman's terms, typos) is the most probable cause for his problem.

It's not a syntax error when he transfers a line he's read as:

"command not fund on line 1"

to gregthesleeper. i m really sorry for my spelling mistake, if i could only write in italian but maybe you dont speak or understand another language.
anyway i dont think i made a spelling mistake and i checked with player as well but it doesnt work. this means that i will play with no cheat and its ok maybe its even more fun
