Any way to remove lvl 20. spell effectiveness cap?

Post by Ryu1999 »

i just bought TOB and i read how they limited spells that were based on the caster's level were capped at level 20. personally, i find this kinda...i dunno, unfair since essentialy, you won't be able to learn any new spells (or increase the number either), so what'd be the point of increaisng in level. i might be whining, but here's my quesito. is there a override/patch file that removes this limitation? thanks

No the problem is, every spells extension header stops at level 20. So if you want to cast spells past that level you have to edit every spell in the game. Our expansion will have improved support for some of the spells like Fireball and Lightning, to name a few, which will be capped at level 31 instead.

It is not entirely engine related. Some spells have a damage cap for balance reasons, just like in the PnP game (such as Fireball and Lightning Bolt.
