When you take on a quest, they quite often tell you it is urgent and you should do it right away - eg. helping Nalia at De'Arnise, going to pay Gaelan after Brus tells you he wants to see you, Cowled wizards getting you to track down Valygar etc.
Are there time limits for doing this stuff as I seem to need to rest quite a bit to recharge spells and hit points so time is passing quite fast?
Thanks for help killing evil party in temple sewers - I managed it in the end, As soon as I finish with Mekrath, I'm definitely heading off to get some better spells and bring back Jaheira!

In most cases, I don't think it is that urgent. I know for sure that Nalia's request for help can be put off until you feel inclined to do it.
I've only ever experienced time limits after going off on a certain rescue mission, one that takes you into the next chapter

As far as I know, there aren't any such timelimits. Sometimes, like in Nalia's quest, she starts to complain if you haven't act quickly enough, and if you ignore her complains long enough, she may leave your party until you are ready to do her quest. But ain't sure if Nalia leaves your party, cause it's usually the first missions I do
But I recall some characters may even leave. But you are able t´to get them back when you are ready

There are time-limits in certain places. Quests related to party members generally are limited e.g. Korgan's book quest.

If you keep her in the party there is a time limit. Otherwise sending Nalia ahead to the keep avoids it.
The main place for time limits is in the Underdark. Many of the quests there have specific time limits given at the beginning. Bad things happen if you don't succeed within the alloted time.

@ Rav,
good point, I usually avoid having her in my party. I only include her while actually clearing out the Keep; if you don't have her in the party at that time you don't get the 10 K.
And yeah... I was referring to that later area as well... though I didn't state it directly for fear of spoilers, since I have the impression moletteuk has not yet played the game through
You can get the 10 k even if you decide not to have Nalia in your party while you are cleaning the keep. Just Talk to her when you are finished. She will give you the money!!
Hmm... Odd... I have always talked to her afterwards... and I just end up with a few hundred gold...
*shrugs* Oh well, no matter

Same here. I get a lousy 585 gp, or something around that, if I don't bring her along. Truly pathetic for putting my life in the balance for basically only that oh-so-friendly aunt of hers.

Only things I had problems were with the clay golem in the golem room, because i had only 1 blunt weapon with a waek party member, the umber hulks outside torgals room, the pounded on me, and torgal and his 2 guys all attacking one guy at the same time is brutal.
Spoiler--I used a cheap strategy against torgal when soloing. I lured his guys out and killed them, then I opened the door and got in torgals sight, and led him near the door. then i turned around, and used the ring of the ram. close door, sleep, repeat --spoiler
another time limit quest would be jans quest where u have to save the girl. you like get 10 days and its fairly tough for me cuz i have RTMS(Rest-to-Much-Syndrome)
