its a intel extreme graphics card that came with the computer

Yes. Don't try to turn anything too high though. In fact, you'd be safer turning everything except resolution to the minimum.

If for some reason your card doesn't support Morrowind, bear in mind that you can get some decent cards for under $100. (Cdn)
I replaced my aging card with an Nvidia GE Force FX 5200 (32 bit). Prior to installing the card playing MW was like watching a slide show. Once the card was in, I was able to put MW on one of the highest resolutions, and my computer (an old Pentium 3) barely broke a sweat. Everything runs very nicely now. An Nvidia GE Force FX 5200 sells for about $70 Cdn, and it has added considerable longevity to my machine.
That being said, I don't really know anything about the Intel Extreme card, it may actually be better than the one I mention
