Unseeing eye

Where i can find that unseeing eye(beholder?)
I have grap that rod and other piece, but that unseeing eye will not appear----> so can someone tell me where i can find this unseeing eye?

I quick saved the game when i took the rod and then there wasnt appear that unseeing eye so is that something error or ...?

When you finally get the second piece of the rod, the Unseeing Eye should have appeared around the corridor which you used to get into the room where the rod piece was located. At least, that has been my experience so far.
