Whay can't i dual class??

Post by Zimith »

I don't seem to be able to dualclass my lvl 7 human female fighter into a mage. I have all the prequisits for a mage. It's a mystery.

(I am playing a three player multiplayer game which i have copied into the single player save directory, so its basically a multi player game with some NPCs, but in single player. Could that be the prob?)

Your intelligence might not be high enough. The minimum to dual to a mage (as opposed to just starting out as a mage) is more strict. I don't remember exactly what it is, but it may be as high as 16 or 17.

Yeah, sorry. As an old Ad&d player, i should have remembered those stupid dual-classing rules. Praised they've changed!
