Doesn't Start Up

Post by bushwhacker2k »

I have bought and installed The Temple of Elemental Evil and latest patches.

Whenever I turn it on, it either says to insert Play disk or asks if I want to play ToEE, I respond yes and it starts to start it, it appears for a moment and then exits

Why is this happening?

BTW I have a new graphics card and my computer is usually speedy

...

Perhaps I wasn't clear on what my problem is...

I say Yes to insert play disk, it opens up for a second and then dissapears

PS Please, If you're going to direct me to a different post, let that post have an answer to my problem, not a Moderator telling someone not to post there

I guess you didn't read carefully.

The original post there references something we're not supposed to be discussing on the boards here, but which is the only known solution to a problem many people are having with this game. That's all I'll say on that.

If that doesn't work, then we're going to need more information on what patches you have. The "latest" can mean a whole mess of things. Some combinations are more stable than others.

Bushwacker- read your private messages.

heh, bub. I love it...

Anyway, Bushwacker, the link he gave you was in regards to me having the same problem, but the answer to your question is taboo in the forum. That's what he was trying to tell you.

I have sent you a pm on this (as he may have as well). Check it out.

He then said if that didn't work, to tell what patches you have and he'd help from there. He WAS trying to help you (as he did for me), as am I. Chill and check your messages (very top right of the webpage).
