Perhaps he cannot jump above the trap in Naga Temple? That"s a very difficult jump to do. Banshee walkthrough give various advices on this, the advice that worked for me was to use a Time Warp Crystal.

Making the jup with the Time Crystal

Fiost off, the crystal dioes not stop the trap from dropping instantly; what it allows you to do is count your steps when you are running for the edge.

So, back all the way up down the corridor, and use the crystal. As soon as you are ale start running for the trap doors edge. It will take you about 6-7 steps, but which ever it is, your Left foot will hit the edge fist as long as you were all the way back. As sson as your left foot touches down, JUMP! You will land right on the opposite ledge. it may take a try or two to get the timing down, but it will work...oh ya, and you ight want to make sure your speed is as high as it can be, so don't have anything equipped that will lower it...just in case.

The speed factor has no implication on how fast you move - it is an indicator of the speed of your attacks in melee. In much the same way agility has no impact on how high or how far you can jump, but rather, on your melee efficiency.

Therefore, even a speed of 300 would not aid in any way in overcoming the trap door.

It's been suggested time and again that the best way to overcome this trapdoor (and this is a tried and true method which enabled me to make it on my 1st try), is using the time crystal.
Sure I work... but only when I want to! I got a lot of free time on my hands, so I can play RPG's 10 hours a day! Here's how I do it
