installation issues

Post by killian27 »

okie dokes, this is my favorite game so im kinda peeved that it wont install. I'm not sure if my CD is fragged or not. When i install it gets up to 35% on reccomended and then states

problem: Catastrophic failure
reason: Fairure to recieve critical data.

thats on disc one, if i remember correctly its around then that im supposed to switch to CD 2. So im not sure if the CD is fragged or theres something i can fix to prompt the CD change right.

disc is a lil scuffed but shudnt be a problem.

plz send any help possible..

(worse comes to worse i finally have an excuse to geth the throne of baal double pack

my suggestion is this, and it has worked for me before, simply clean your disk theroughly with water and a soft cloth or tissue. Clean all, hope this helps.

I have done it, for like stains and sticky stuff, food, ect.... It worked. Think less of slob of me and I will definatly use this method less. I think water is harmless, as long as no abrasion is used

Windex actually does wonders... I'm weary about using it on -R/-RW media, but I've never had problems cleaning store bought media.
