Why can't I rest on the abyssal plain?
Why can't I rest on the abyssal plain?
I'm sure that last time I played, I could rest here (after killing the monsters on those little side things), but now I get 'either find an inn or rest outside'. Does the patch do this or something? I can't imagine how I'm going to get through without resting!

I think you are talking about the final fight (I'm not really into all the names).
The game was always like that, and that's how the last fight is so challenging. This way, you can't just be perfect when you fight, you slowly get worn down.
But there is a way around this. Cast Wish (the level 9 version, not limited wish) and choose to have all spells regained and abilities back, or at least the option that does this.
Now you have everything back again.

In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.
you can rest in the abyssal plane that is available until the final fight but you cannot rest during the final fight. if you mean during the main parts of TOB then you should be able to rest im the abyssal plane where cespenar is. if you are talking about the plane where the final fight takes place, then no its not a bug as you are not supposed to be able to rest there.

I believe she is talking about the final fight, mostly due to '(after killing the monsters on those little side things)' which would apply more to the final fight then the rest of the game.
Also, she seemed to have then finished it, and that fast would require you to already be up there.
