Merging Plugins

Post by dragon wench »

I have spent the better part of an hour searching around Google for some simple, easy-to-follow instructions on how to merge mods, but thus far I have come up empy-handed. Now, I *know* this is not rocket science, and I know people actually do it quite often. I also know that at one point Fable mentioned to me in a thread how to do this, but I can't, for the life of me, seem to find it. *sigh*

Anyway, I would be very appreciative if somebody could explain to me in clear, precise, 'step-by-idiot's step' terms how to combine plug-ins. :D

I have a variety of texture replacers I'd love to combine into a single mod, plus I'd like to merge some head packs, Domina armor meshes etc.
(note, I only plan to do this for my personal use, so no worries about permissions or anything like that ;) )

Thanks! :)

OKay... found Fable's post
You load one mod into the Construction Set, then you load in another, and another, and... You then save it as a newly named ESP. That ESP you then load after removing the individual originals from your data files.

Ummm... I'm feeling extremely stupid here, but how do you successively load mods into the construction set?

I am *really* bad at this sort of thing.... Anything relating to the construction set usually baffles me, and basically I feel as though I am trying to understand a foreign language . :o

You just mark (double click) every plugin you wish to include. For included plugins the checkboxes should be checked before you hit "OK".

Since this is a mod thread I may was well ask this here.

I finally got my hands on Morrowing(PC version) and am a bit bored with the normal game(having played it as much as I have). Where can I get some good mods(areas/buildings/quests) that will work on the standard(Non-expansion) Morrowind??
Finally running a decent computer!
