unable to get to vale of ruin
unable to get to vale of ruin
alright so i need to go to the vale of ruin for both my wizard and the storyline quest... but from what i read i need to talk to staroxia, who tells me to talk to the guy wandering above lake dire... though for me she dosent say anything about him and when i went up to talk to him he didnt have his memory and all he did was sell me some spells and druid armor... so is there something im missing here? ive just finished the naga temple and have the quest to get vartuugs (sp?) item from the vale of ruin im also lvl 11 if that matters... but anyway any help would be appreciated thanks
Were you told to go to Staroxia?
Yes, you have to go to Staroxia, but you won't get any information from her and the plot won't proceed unless you were directed to her by Emmindor. Read the Arindale walkthrough with particular attention on #8. Follow the prescribed path and you should get the plot rolling.

I think the key phrase in the dialog with staroxia which gets you the password to free grymlocks mind is "Emmindor says hello" or words to that effect. I could be wrong but suffices to say I think you just missed a dialog option with staroxia. It is possible that you missed the dialog option with Emmindor but I think the problem lies with staroxia (I don't think the conversation has many options with emmindor it's just one long "continue").
