how to defeat this creature (a walking wolf)?

Post by ltjt86 »

i am in the windspear dungeon 2 now, and i confront a creature that i cannot kill it. i don't know its name in english since i am playing this game in another language.

i think its name should be "greater human-wolf" or "giant human-wolf", anyway, it's a huge walking wolf.

my team can only hit it to wounded, then it will turn to unwounded again. i tried all my powerful weapons including the sword i used to kill kangaxx, but none is working...

pls help me!

That's a Greater Wolfwere (or is it Greater Werewolf?).

Anyway, this guy just have an insane regeneration rate. Just try to do lots of damages over a very short period and you should be able to kill it. Try to use summons and direct damage spells, haste your party members, use every potions and wards you've got.

Also, do you have lastest patch? I know there was a bug with this specific enemy's regeneration rate before.

Those creatures are very tough, if you explore the immediate area, you will find lots of dead end passages, it is possible to lead the Wolfwere into one of these passges, drink a Potion of Invisibility and get someone to close the door behind it.
Otherwise, summon a bunch of creatures, make sure everyone is hasted and use the best weapons you have.

The creature only has 60 hit points, but it regenerates 18 hit points per round. You need to find a way to inflict over 60 points of damage in one round. Fighters with Potions of Haste and Potions of Giant Strength can get the job done, but there are also other ways.
