Post by Greatstar »

Hi, I had returned such I was here.

I am getting Neverwinter Nights: Diamond for Chirstmas. I had questions.

Are any class able to wield two one-handed weapons? Any class able to weild only one two-handed weapon (like two-handed sword)?

Race Restrictions

All classes can wield two one-handed weapons. Their effectiveness with them depends on the skills you select. Racial restrictions on smaller races might restrict the use of the two-handed weapons. Your manual can tell you which races are restricted and what they are restricted to.

that's true, but a two-handed weapon to one class may be a one-handed weapon to another, like to a half-orc, a two-bladed sword is a one-handed weapon, but a halfling can't wield a two-bladed sword because it's too big.

Make sense? There's more about this in the manual.

Just for the record, weapons like double-axes dire maces, and two-bladed swords are known as 'double weapons.' These require two hands to use, and (IIRC) aren't usable by Gnomes or Halflings.

for halflings though, a bastard sword is considered a two handed weapon due to their size but galuf is right, in general double bladed weapons and two handed weapons are two handed for the majority of races

But, did I understand correctly, some races can wield two-handed weapon in one hand??

If yes, then is there others than Half-Orc, and is it possible to dual-wield 2-handed weapons??

I think what that poster might have been referring to was the fact that one-handed weapons for medium characters would be two-handers for halflings or gnomes.
