Opened the console and used the same code to sell one more point in Animalism, thinking it wouldn't do anything. When I looked in my character sheet again, Animalism was completely gone and I had 651 xp points to spend.
That should be enough to clue everybody into what I'm talking about, and now it's time for fair deuce. Changing your character's disciplines can have far-reaching effects. More than you would expect. On the down side, it's like playing an entirely different clan, where you have learn everything about the clan and have the Devil's own time doing so. On the up side, it's like playing an entirely different clan, where you have learn everything about the clan and have the Devil's own time doing so.
Having been fairly warned, have a ball!

Minor Spoliers

When I was being put through that guys testing in the Chinatown skyscraper (can't remember his name) I ran into a ton of weird bugs. When I was suposed to bve dodging those laser beams, the lasers themselves weren't there, but I could still see there emitters moving around. I was able to walk through the area totally unharmed. Then when I proceeded to the next area and was supposed to dodge the spinning blades, they weren't spinning; just sitting there... I was able to shoot the electrical boxes and effortlessly proceed, once again, entirely unharmed. Then when you break out of the testing and are supposed to kill the scientist and his guards I dominated the scientist/boss dude, he killed all his guards, died (as per the "posession" ability... I was a ventrue) but didn't leave the key I needed to open the nosferatu's cell. The last part kind of sucked but I found it interesting how seemingly all the bugs I encountered happened all in one area :D  .
"Be thankful you're healthy."
"Be bitter you're not going to stay that way."
"Be glad you're even alive."
"Be furious you're going to die."
"Things could be much worse."
"They could be one hell of a lot better."

Dmp

This is kind of neat. I was in DMP, and when I got to the gang-banger, I was a bit low on blood, so I hit him with 2 Blood-Strikes before I tried to talk to him.
Well and good, but when I tried to talk to him, he freaked and ran into the next room. I went there, and after a few moments, he relaxed and started to walk back. Then I talked to him, and got the normal dialog. When it was done, he threw a fit, fell on the floor, died and flipped his own corpse over in the air. Looking back at where he originally was, the head-runner was sitting where it was supposed to be. Cute.
... and I had 651 xp points to spend...

Now it gets even more strange. After spending the last of my 647 ill-begotten experience points, you'd think I would have 0 left. Instead, the game gave me 1047 more. I used them to put a full 5 points into everything and still had over 600 left.
This can also be gotten by using the giftxp command and giving 10000 or so xp points. You'll get around 700 or so and then once these are used, you will recieve more than before.. giving you enough to do the next thing I'm about say..
At that point I opened the console again used vstats buy to buy a point in Celerity, just to see what would happen. In the character sheet, I now had Celerity as a discipline (A Gangrel with Celerity! Nice) with 0 points in it and still had 647 xp points.
Also this works with any of the disiplines for any of the other clans. It can also be done by using "vstats get [Discipline Name]" meaning you can effectively have a super vampire that can do anything. Using your ill-begotten XP points to up the stats on these new disciplines

NOTE: Protean does not work. It allows you to transform, and gives you the Heat signature sight thingy, but you cant feed or attack or anything.

After reading this I felt the need to go play with the cheats,,

I encountered two glitches that were "weird".

When I got back to the spot where you first meet Beckett. I got the cutscene where he approached in wolf form, but he didn't transform back to his human form. This was on the second time I played it so I noticed it right away... anyway, I got all of the normal dialogue, but I was talking to a wolf.. not Beckett himself.

Another was in the Skyscraper, whilst being tested by the mandarin. As soon as the window smashed everyone ran away. The mandarin however was running in one direction against the wall and not moving at all. I killed all the others. ignoring him, and went through the door to where Barabus' cell was, to find that he had escaped on his own and killed the guard at the bottom of the stairs for me.

I encountered this part of the glitch as well, and I also noticed that the two guards (dressed in black) were unmoving and just stationary. Only until I started shooting did they react at all. I was able to jump through the broken glass and move around freely without any movement from them.

Sometimes, when i am killing Boris for Venus downtown, i hit Boris with my fists, and he flies into the wall and then kind of ricochets up under the ceiling. Thats funny enough, but the best part is, that he gets stuck in the fan he has up there, and he is just going round and round and round, all at the same time he does the animation that NPCs do when they fly backwards. Try it yourself.
Equalization is good.
Payback isnt.

Tremere Glitch

I'm playing with a female Tremere character and the the most curious thing happened. Up to Hollywood you only have 3 different outfits the one you start with, the one you buy in Downtown, the one you buy in Hollywood. Right? Somehow, during the snuff is enough quest I wound-up getting the construction hammer for a weapon then tried changing to lighter clothing so I could lockpick the door to get the tape. Lo and behold I now have the cool black leather coat that I should be getting in Chinatown and the nice, elegant outfit I bought in Hollywood. The oddest thing, is that I can only use those two and won't allow me to get lighter clothing not to mention I still can't fix this glitch. Both are cool outfits but i also need dexterity for sneaking and lockpicking. :(

**********************************************************
Another weird stunt happenned in the tutorial for the Malkavian. Jack tells you there's a bum in the nearby stairs (go feed) right? When I go down the stairs, there is no bum (or anywhere near the alley) yet Jack insists that I should feed. The next time I restarted I could feed off the bum (go figure) :D
The most famus glitch is universal. You kill someone near the walls ect. and then they seemed wedged between them. Or closed rooms where thugs seem to peer from within the doors, and you can see their faces plastered in them.

I've had afew glitches in my game...

First one was extremely annoying, I was playing on the 'Blow up the Sabbat warehouse' mission and while I was beating up afew thugs I fell through the ground so just my head was exposed, I tried to move and attack but I couldn't so the thugs thought it proper to circle my paralysed body and beat it senseless with tire irons.

My second glitch was in the back rooms of Ground 0 (The Internet cafe), this freaked me out as when I came to a corridor with quite afew of those little 'heads with legs' as I call them, they could walk through walls, so every now and
then one would jump through a wall and scare the hell out of me.

My last glitch was one that seems to happen all the time, the character I'm playing likes to jump up and wrap their legs around the person they're feeding off, but sometimes the person I'm feeding on doesn't go with the animation so
they continue to stand upright so my character has their legs wrapped around their knees whilst sinking their fangs into the person's... back. Although they seem to get the same boost in blood so maybe there are just as many vampire friendly nutrients in the back as there are in the neck =D

This one's not really a glitch, per se, just some odd AI behavior. You know how if you use Suicide or Vision of Death in public, all the NPC's rush over to the dying one to see if they can help? Well, as a Ventrue one time I used Suicide on the Mandarin right outside of Barabus' cage. Barabus himself came charging out of the cage and run up to the Mandarin saying "Are you alright? Do you need help? What's wrong?"

I thought it was funny.

Either this is a glitch....or Mitnick has RIPPED ME OFF!

In the A Tangled Web quest...after successfully completing the quest, Mitnick said to check out my mailbox to make it worth my while to do the quest...and guess what..nothing was in there...replayed it several times and no luck again...looks like Mitnick pulled off another Ebay type scam..lol.. btw this is with unofficial patch 1.9..

Sounds like an unofficial bug. Aside from "hooking me up along the way", I've never been compensated for that quest or heard that there was compensation for it. You pick up the odd bit of booty here and there during the quest, but there has never been any prize for the quest as a whole.

Well I always thought the 500 USD in the safe during the last quest was the "final reward", so to speak.
It would be against type for Mitnick to just hand you over something in person, no?

Lingerie choices

Looks like the ladies in my game have issues deciding what to wear each morning. I'm talking to Jeanette just before the bit where you have sex and for some reason her bra is changing. Then, the sound sticks on 'kitten', so I have a fully mobile Jeanette yelling "Kitty, kitty, kitty!" while her bra flashes. I couldn't stop laughing.

Also, in Ocean House, the woman's ghost begins to raise her arms, but the animation sticks so I'm left with a glowing blue woman doing the chicken dance. Classic.

Bummer...i was hoping apart from Bertram Tong upping my computer skill by 1..that Mitnick will school me in the ways of hacking.. oh well no stats here then.

Short version, if you side with Jeannette and your seduction is high enough, later on you can make out with her in the video game politically correct fashion. Try searching for "Voerman", or "Jeannette". Anybody know where that thread is?

Actually, that kind of sounds in character for Jeanette. I'll skip the part about the double entendre and the innuendo.

I believe the title of the thread that details how this is done was "Getting it on with Jeanette," but I may be mistaken.

LAPD infiltrated by the Sabbat

The weirdest thing I had was when I went on a killing spree in Hollywood to release some pent-up frustration after failing the zombie quest for the Nth time with my Ventrue char.

I noticed that when I shot one of the cops chasing me he made vampire pain noices, and when I killed him he was dusted like a vampire NPC. I ended up killing a few civvie NPCs in that area in the same way.

I just installed the unofficial 1.9 patch, so I'm guessing that has to do something with it, as I never experienced that before (and I do love the occasional killing spree)

I forget how to move
When my mouth is this dry
And my eyes are bursting hearts
In a bloodstained sky
Oh, it was sweet and wild.

Spinning Guards

Once, I was playing the game and a had a cool glitch. I found that if I hit a guard with a sledgehammer, he would go flying as per usual, but spinning against a wall horizontally over and over while shouting "HUH?! WHO'S THERE?!" at me... even when I had killed them, they all stayed up there above my head, spinning horizontally (lying down) at the top of the wall. It was great, I should have taken a screenshot but I wasn't thinking of it at the time.
I game, therefore I am.
