behind Pelagiad there is this place called Dren.. ive found a whole lot of nice stuff in there.. but even better.. the deadric that they all have with them.. i have been able to kill them (almost all of them) but i never saved.. i dont know if i need them later in the game for things.
so, are the people in the Dren important or can i just kill them all?
(if you answer with yes, than plz dont tell me why they are important)

Never heard you couldn't live without them. Some of them are involved in certain plots, however, but mostly to be killed (one to be blackmailed or killed). Though i am not fond of Hlaalu and may have missed some quests as well, so do not rely on what i'd said too much. Why won't you see the walkthrough section there on Gamebanshee?
Never had been able to understand, what's that about items making people mad, though.

Once you take a trip to the Dren Mansion (preferbly under Morag Tong orders), you never need worry about gold again. Not that you have to anyway, if you are strong enough to take them on...
There are, AFAIK, no quest conflicts with killing everyone in there. You complete the quest as soon as you talk to the quest giver again.

You will get the infamous "Doomed World" statement if you kill Orvas Dren. I haven't experimented with getting through quests after killing him ahead of time, but he is involved in quests involving House Hlaalu and the Main Quest. I personally find it more challenging to steal from Orvas Dren than to kill him. Even with 100 Sneak and Agility, you can be caught.
Now I have to go see if I can get away with it!

You're right. I killed him and some others at the plantation and still was able to become Hortator. Just have to deal with the situation properly.

Why should one kill people for all this garbage? And, if it is so dearly wanted, taking that from Daedras and 6x Cult is more challenging.

If you'd took care to learn about console, you'd known by now there's simpler ways to do it. BTW, all console commands are described in CS Help. :mischief:
