Handmaiden: unarmed or weapon?
Handmaiden: unarmed or weapon?
I'v done Dantooine and now am just starting Nar Shadaa. I'm debating the usefulness of the Handmaiden. Her unarmed combat skills register as being pretty damn good, but it seems to me that in acutal combat she really doesn't hit that much or do too much damage. I've given her some decent unarmed combat items and she has her mother's robes on. Should I continue with unarmed combat or does she do better with a weapon?

i normally play a female character but whenever i play a male character i concentrate on her the most.
she's by far the best character to have with a sword or 2 lightsabres, normally killing folk quicker than my own character.
level her up with strength and give her strength mods ie; gloves and belt and a nice dark jedi knight robe.

You really only need to worry about handmaiden's damage as a non-jedi. Keep her in your party long enough to gain influence with her (though not necessary as you can do this via training and conversation on the Ebon Hawk), to convert her to a jedi.
Sometimes I do what I want, most of the time, I do what I have to.

I agree with what's been said here, as Handmaiden pwned enemies in combat quite a bit more efficiently than my character (he was a Master, but I digress
) once she was a jedi. The unarmed seems like a good option until you get her to be a jedi and get her some levels: trust me, you give her two sabers and you wont be disappointed
