casting spells

Alrightys, i made spell to open 100 pts, and i have a 60/0 for casting it. How did I get the casting chance up? I read somewhere that you have to get better at that clase of magic. And its alteration i believe, but i have an alteration spell that has a 100% chance casting, so i'm stooped, and i'd really want this to work. This also happened to me for a levitation spell. Thanks much.

Willpower also helps to have a better chance at casting spells.

Spells come with different difficulty. Summon Golden Saint is one of most difficult, for example, on normal conditions it hardly may be cast with 100% probability.
Then. if you do not have necessary Magicka, the chance to cast successfully obviously is 0.
Alteration is Willpower realted (like as Mysticism, Restoration, and, i believe, also Destruction) so Willpower plays important role. Intelligence is important for all kinds of spells, and not only because it determines amount of Magicka. Should i mention the importance of the skill?
And the last but not least is Luck.

Leveling up your any skills will help even if it is just a little.

You probably have too little magica. The next time you level up, boost inteligence. You get more magica and you will be able to cast your spells.

If you don't have too little, either get training from someone in altercation, or a cheaper way would be to get a lock spell at level 10. The door will be locked at 10 and you could either unlock it with a lock pick or with a spell. (But that is your problem isn't it

)
