Morrowind on 21 inch Monitor @ 1600x1200x32 = GREAT EXPERIENCE

Post by Dyre Straits »

I came home Sunday from a local computer show that comes to town about every 2 months. What I came home with is an NEC MultiSync E1100+ CRT monitor. Talk about BIG!!! This thing weighs nearly 70 lbs.!

Playing Morrowind (and a few other games) on this monitor is an entirely different experience with this much real estate in front you. :)

The BEST part of it all, though, is the price: $30 US and no tax!!

I just thought one of the few advantages of playing on XBox- I play on a 32" TV screen. (I'm switching to a 48", so I'm looking foward to that!!

I can see the value of a large screen with great detail on a game like Morrowind--more so on the forthcoming Oblivion. That said, I have no problem in using my little 17" screen, and a little imagination. ;)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

What really surprised me is that I've been using a really nice 19" CRT for quite some time. I was still surprised as the size differences.

With my ATi X800 XL I can setup a really nice dual monitor situation here with 21 and 19 inch monitors. :)

Hehehe.

My older son is the manager of a comic book and game store. At the store, he has an XBOX 360 (as well as the original XBOX) connected to a Toshiba 62 inch Wide HDTV. ;) We can sit 20 feet away and it STILL looks BIG. ;)
