you dont need to become evil to get it, you can steal the stone from the genie so you dont have to give him the sword and you dont havr to kill him "becoming evil dosent change anything at all so it really dosent matter"

Guys, two points: 1) stick to the subject, and 2) stick to the subject. Blackrazor is ToB, not SoA, and SoA-only was stated in the first post. And thievery would make a nice discussion, but not in this thread. ;) Posts removed.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I agree with the majority here, Daystar is a really kickass weapon. I used it all the way through my first run through the game (found it by pure accident ;) )
It really is awesome

With Daystar you can cut the neck of almost every bad guy in the game, and it is a fairly balanced weapon. I specially like it to beat the vampires lair.

The Blackrazor is cheesy, and you almost cant use it at SoA.

I tried to play a fighter mage that conjured his magical swords whenever needed, and it worked quite fine, the only problem is that the spells are not long lasting enough for the bigger fights, and I got tired of that and picked up the Dragonbane sword (a red sword found on Firkraag lair, cant remember the name). Which, btw, is a great choice, double damage versus dragons is not something to be neglected.
Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.

Ouch! My head hurts because of being beaten with the stick of post-removal! :p While technically Blackrazor is SoA, I see you point on it being ToB. I'll shut up about it.

If you go for style, go for the Blade of Roses. Just the name makes it worth getting, but with my natural charisma of 17 it drags me over the CHA 18-line for a big jump in reaction modifier. Not that it's that important, but you gotta have style, fate rewards it! Which is why many fantasy heroïnes wear such revealing armours and heroes in general wear cloaks (damn those things are annoying to wear): they are protected by fate because they are cool.

<sighs> alright, for actually killing the nasty monsters just switch between Daystar, Dragonslayer and the Equalizer. You should be able to kill most things quite efficiently then.

Summoning your weapons is cool too, and even gives you early acces to a longword +3. For free. And it does last for 24 hours, which is quite long. For more scariness use the Phantom Blade or the Black Blade of Disaster. While not technically longswords (they don't use the longsword proficiency, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong) they look like longswords to me.
