Lilarcor - SPOILER
Lilarcor - SPOILER
I`m stuck on this quest. I have the four items and lined them up correctly, but nothing seems to happen.
Can someone please tell me the method is to get the sword?
Thank you.

You must pick up the riddle ingredients and use them in the proper order, or you'll receive a lightining bolt. Its very easier, they're related to some masterpiece poetry puzzle on the pipes. Just click the pipes (near the old guy, to the north) and click on the pipes on the correct order.
Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.

And save before you do, as indicated above, so your party doesn't get a massive electric shock. It can be quite annoyiing in all that water.
It also has banter (read: it will talk randomly), which just spices up the fact that it is a stronger weapon than just about anything else that early in the game.
Funny banter, too. Lilacor reacts to killing much like a drug addict reacts to a fix. There's that same wide-eyed insanity, along with withdrawal symptoms if no killing is quickly provided.
There's a mod out there that makes Lilacor an uber-weapon, if you're interested in that. Frankly, I'm not, given the sheer number of excellent items you can find or upgrade throughout the game. But just FYI.

Re: Funny banter
Fable's 110% correct. Liarcor is great- it's one of those things that makes BG2 so much better than most other RPGs. The sword acts like another character, albeit a character of limited scope.
If you've never used Liarcor, you are missing out on one of those little things that makes BG2 great.
