My current char - the Two-Hand melee Feralkin - is in the Crypt at the moment. She is getting by on a combination of Everlasting, Tribal rotective, and low-level Exorcism (just 20, from amulet and Boots of Walking Dead). Which means she isn't getting the benefit of the Amulet of Crushing Carnage, but, hey - swings and roundabouts.

Sure. It's worth checking out the rest of the Neverwinter Vault Module Hall of Fame (that's where the links in the link I provided lead to ). I'd recommend trying the Shadowlords trilogy - it starts off slowly but progressively gets better and better.

For the most part, yeah. Occasionly I see the need to increase something, like Stealth which is partly why I took the Ghost perk and I increased some spells too.

Yep, I have something like 380/300 pounds worth of equipment and between 60 and 90000 gold.
Somehow I'm not rooted to the spot through encumbrance...
I'll probably get rid of the Hauberks of Protection, any items that have the same properties but one less than the other and some of those necklaces.

Oh, it's the thing I keep telling you about that decreases the hidden ability (it also increases your Crit Chance, I believe).

Not sure. She had Unarmed, Lockpick and Divine: Fortitude Tagged - but I did feed skill points into Thought:Ice as far as Ice Missile, which is the penultimate spell in that branch.

I went on that shopping trip...

And I found a good items for sale in Montaillou, which I couldn'r resist snapping up quickly of couse.
Scimitar of Enduring - Increases Endurance by 2 (I think it's the first time I've seen the 'of Enduring' type)
A Belt of Endurance and Protection- +2 EN
And a Longbow that increases both Luck and Agility - +2 and +1 (or vice versa).
So, all in all, a good selection...

Also, while in the Crypt I released all the Knights which apparently marked me as a hero type again allowing me access to the Crossroads merchant special inventory, which I'd lost access to after freeing the Daeva back in Barcelona.

I managed to win the last battle in those Caverns using the Discord spell, it turned the Assassin into a temporary ally. If only I hadn't laid 3 Firepowder Kegs beforehand, the tactic would have been even better then...

Erm... what's the point, when your char is an Unarmed specialist?

Only just? Gosh. I'm usually ok by the time I've completed the quests on the Slaver map - Aesma, Relican, and Slavers.

I don't like Discord. I tried it twice in my current game, and noted with annoyance that you don't get any skill points for critters killed by one under the influence of Discord.

The bow might turn out to be useful.
Don't forget I'm the metaphorical pack rat, if I see something with great stats and abilities, even if it's irrelevant to me, I'll want to keep it. And buying that stuff led to me getting rid of a lot of the weapons I had before, so it's probably a good thing...

I tend to do it with suits of armour if my char is able to carry a lot of stuff: armour that adds a skill point on level-up, or that has electrical resistance (very useful) but doesn't have carrying or protection or some other thing that another suit DOES, but without the electrical resistance...

Well, Full Plate decreases Electrical Resistance, which is a pain and can be quite limiting, generally I go for Hauberk or Plate armours, they offer a good deal of protection and mobility. And it's all the better if I find something that provides an attribute bonus.

Well, this time through I think I followed those quests only partway, but I was curious about that too, I think I've taken those quests all the way to the end before and it's had no difference on whether the English attack you or not, you just get your rewards for helping Guy Fawkes at the time you help him.
I suppose the justification for that is the druids have control of the army and they're working for the big baddie who wants the annoying throrn (i.e. you) out of his side.

It would have been great to see a twist like that, but I expect that'd require a rethink of quite a lot of area. War-torn Montaillou, Barcelona, Crossroads, Ethereal pockets, not to mention Sudbury Hill (the Druid hideout) and all the experience gained from those battles...

I'll have to look out for that.
I started battling the English in Montaillou, they'rre very easy to hit and they can be killed quickly. Surprisingly quick, in fact. They do deal quite a lot of damage though.

I've cleared Montaillou with my two-hander, but I think it was easier with the Unarmed char. She was pretty darned good all the way - by far the most effective character I have played. Though whether that is because Unarmed is the best fight skill, or some other factor of the character, I don't know.

I think, when I have completed as two-hand, I'll create a char exactly like the starting Unarmed, but give her one-hand melee and see how she goes. Of course, she won't be exactly the same as the game prgresses, because she will have some different perks, and different items, but still, it should add a bit of interest.

From what I remember the English soldiers had a vulnerability to Crushing...or higher resistances for other types of damage...or that may have been the scorpions.
Anyway, Unarmed attacks are faster than the Two-Handed attacks and seem to do at least an equal amount of damage by now.

You'll play through again? Wow, I'd have lost interest in playing through the game so many times by now. Is this your third time through while I'm still going through the first and posting stats?

I get a bit obsessive with games. Play 'em to death then can't bear to look at them again! If Oblivion was out, I wouldn't even be thinking of Lionheart.

Presently, my two-hander has just arrived at the Desert Sprawl and sold all the stuff she picked up in the Druid place - which included a ring I would have died for as an Unarmed char: Ring of Brawling and The Metal Fist! Also found armour of Brawling in there. Sigh.

Yes, I agree - Two-Hand is SLOOOOOOOW! And in RL, the way she wields that weapon - leaving her front wide open as she heaves it over her head to smash it down - she would be dead and buried before she could ever bring it down! It's powerful, but I won't use it again.

Well, I've been killing off the English, both in Montaillou and Barcelona, I've gained two levels in the course of three maps.
There's not much in the way of good random treasure in either of the areas, beyond that which is found in the Cathedral basement and in merchant inventories.

Unarmed is probably better than 2 Handed for pure damage though the lack of a to hit bonus or extra damage is not so good.

Well, I didn't expect to be stymied at the Acid Wash! But I can't do it. I've not had a char before that didn't get though there with ease, INCLUDING without Ranged.
But with all the protections she has, all the ranged spells, and every bit of ingenuity I have (and I have a fair bit!), she is getting killed time after time after time by two Master Assassins chucking Ice Missiles at her. Meh. Her ranged spells are Ice, too, so they are not very vulnerable to it. I think I might go back to that vendor in the Sprawl and see if he has anything helpful.

I wonder if a factor is because my girl is a Feralkin and doesn't have as much Mana available as Sylvants and Demokins? She can almost fix the blighters, but not quite.
