The Ultimate Fighter
Ok guys, well I've recently beat the first NWN and I haven't bought any new ones yet so I've been focusing on the multiplayer feature. I found one where theres a whole bunch of games and you have 2 teams and you basiaclly play capture the flag and king of the hill and the such. When you get there, you are required to level up/down to level 20. Well heres the problem: I started by using my main cleric that I had beat the game with and it didn't turn out so well. I was killed almost every minute. Now I saw warrios and fighters there that were barely getting hurt at all and they were really powerful. Now my question stands. What is the ultimate fighter? I tried creating a dwarf fighter (remember that I only have NWN so I cant access the other classses available with SOU and HOtU), but even with him, I did a little better but still got killed almost every minute or two.
Can anyone write out the specs for a really good fighter, that can be created with the original NWN? What I need is, Race, Class, Skills, Feats, Weapons profiencies, armor, etc. I'm looking more for a really strong warrior but also someone who might be able to cast a buff or two (in this game module, are your items are gone and you are given armor). Any thoughts?

Well if winning is an art,
then I believe it's drawn us apart.

I haven't planned a character for multiplayer but I know that using your NwN OC character won't be a good idea since you developed that character based on a single player environment. Alot of planning is required for a multiplayer powergaming character.
I think I will try a Human Fighter 26 / Bard 4 / RDD 10 for my first online character. Where to take the bard levels will be cruicial. One will be at level 1 to maximize skill points and another at level 37 to maximize tumble for sure. I'll need to plan all my skill points at each level (sometimes dont spend them all but save them for when I take the bard levels).
Have you tried the character search engine on the Bioware site? Alot of people have posted their successful builds there...builds they have spent hours upon hours thinking about.

@ Vellu and Arius: He can't go any higher than level 20 because he only have the Original Campaign. He can't access the tumble skill either

The best character for multiplayer is a RDD. 5 fighter, 1 bard, 10 RDD. Split the rest of the lvls between fighter and bard. Put in skills only on heal and disciple; save the skill for the bard lvls to max out tumble.
16 str
13 dex
16 con
8 wis
10 int
8 cha
I think those are the right stats to start. Use a bastard sword and shield. At lvl twenty your str is at around 35 and if you buy the right stuff, your AC will be around 55. That is freaking good. Wings aren't bad either. Good luck with the character online.

Read the first post. He can't go RDD since he don't have the expansions yet
(I'm sorry, but I can't help you with the character. I have forgotten most of the OC builds )

Good point Fib. The next best character for multiplayer is a fighter rogue. Keep your skills in heal, discipline, and parry. The importance is in that order. Keep your stats max str and everything else in dex and con. 6 lvls in fighter to get all the fighting feats, 5 in rogue to get a good sneak attack, rest in fighter in to get attack bonus. Get knockdown feat and use it on anything that moves (except your teammates  ) Use a greatsword and get weapon focus accordingly.

Shouldn't he be using a one handed weapon? I mean, the AC bonus the shield woulg give could be the critical thing to the build.

Dexterity won't help you much. If you have 12 and use a fullplate you will get the max bonus from the armor (8+1). It would also give you better reflex saves. Other than that it won't be of much use.

In the solo OC that is a very good point, but on online it is different. The damage that a greatsword or another two-handed weapon does is needed to kill people fast.

The Greatsword won't do much more damage than a bastard sword. The shield could give you much more ac though. (Depends on what items there is on the server)
