Nikolai was taken in by a Band of Dwarven adventurers.
As a child he watched the Dwarves do many good deeds and followed in thier footsteps. He doesn not know of his past before found by the Dwarves and is more into the Dwarven Culture then more then his racial appearence. A great thirst for gold and Ale.
His favored weapon is the Dwarven WarAxe which was given to him by Marden GlitterAxe,his mentor during his teenage years and father figure, whose death hurt the Boy deeply.
He now looks for a way to live like Marden did and bring honor to Him wherever he is.
He is 20 years old and has traveled for 3 years since his "foster fathers" death. MArden mention to Nikolai about 2 sacred gems crafted by marden's ancestor that supposedly fit into his waraxe.Marden gave Nikolai some of his blood, via a speel by a mage friend, so that he could find the gems and create Marden's ancestory weapon. This is his life quest.

Thal'xall grew up in Calimport. His father was a high ranking member of a very small thieves guild. His mother was a local prostitute, trying to raise money for the family. Thal'xall joined the guild in hoping that he could, too, raise money for his family, to leave Calimport. His father would hear nothing of it. He was a ruthless man, and he love his position in the guild. He would beat and rape Thal'xall's mother, if she came home with too little gold, or just if he felt like it.

Thal'xall became fustrated soon after his joining of the thieves guild. He hated the evil and vileness of most of the thieves. He soon became proficient in thievery, but he had problems in the guild. He would bring in enough money from his days on the streets, as he would not pickpocket the beggers and poor civilans; only the greedy merchants, he felt, deserved his attention. He stole from them without remorse.

The money that he brought in was only adding up to a fraction of what he needed to get him and his mother out of calimport. Then one day, he found three thieves from the guild looting and raping two noble women from traveling in a caravan through calimport. He killed the two thieves, silently, and the two women thank him very much. They were quite wealthy and gave him all the gold they had on them. Thal'xall stared at the money. It was enough for he and his mother to leave calimport. He asked when the caravan the two ladies were travaling with would leave. They would be leaving Calimport in a few hours. Thal'xall asked if he and his mother could leave with the caravan. They were greatly thankful for what he had done and assured him and his mother passage. Realizing that the guild would kill him when they found out he had killed some guild members, he quickly ran home, to get his mother and leave Calimport once and for all without his father.

By some ironic twist, his father was home. And he was raping his mother again. Hatred stired in Thal'xall; he realized that his father might hunt them down across Faerun. He sliped in to the bed room, and sliped a dagger into his father's back. He and his mother then left Calimport with the caravan, without any interruption by the guild.

Thal'xall learned that this caravan was bound for Athkatla, in the country of Amn. He bought a small house with most of the money that remained, and told his mother that could could have a job that was not a violation of her. Thal'xall then travaled the face of Faerun, going to Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, and finally Silverymoon.

Then, travaling through the Evermoors, he found a magical portal. It sucked him in. He then found him self in the land of Argyle.

Thorin's biography:
Note: I've changed this a bit from my original one i posted in the "guilds" topic.

Thorin the halfling was a child of the family barmonger. His family served their village as the local priests. Thus Thorin was taught in the ways of clergy and still had the natural halfling ability to steal.
When he got older, Thorin moved to a large town where he became a cook. Thorin was gifted in the ways of cooking and people loved his food. One day a wizard came by, tried Thorin's soup, and was absolutely deligted by the amazing flavor it had. He reccomeneded Thorin to a restaurant in Waterdeep, his homecity. Thorin took note of his "Blackstaff". Thorin excelled as a chef and became one of the best in the area.
But sadly he was accused of food poisoning and was fired. A kobold(can they be cooks?) chef replaced him. Thorin later found out it was the kobold who framed him. A few days later the kobold vanished, and Thorin was rehired. Several days later, the body of the kobold was found but it was missing its arms. A few hours later a soup served to a customer was found to have the arms. The chef that made the soup was foudn to be Thorin. He was fired once more.
Several days later Thorin found himself in Baldur's Gate where he met a group of adventurers and joined their band. The band ventured off in search for remains and treasure of an ancient eleven empire that once existed in the Wood of Sharp Teeth. They never found it and half the band was killed by bandits. However on their way back they struck gold. They found a caravan filled with riches. Apperently both the raiders and the caravan guards and members were killed. The group took the riches back to Baldur's Gate where they planend to celebrate and sell of the riches. They were in the inn named The Helm and Cloak where they joy ended. A band of mercenaries came in and killed all but Thorin. He too was about to be killed when a third party entered, and killed the mercnearies and saved Thorin. Thorin found out that the third party was a band of adventurers out to stop the bandit plague and save the Sword Coast. Of their names Thorin remembered only one; Imoen.
Thorin left Baldur's Gate to return to his village but before he could return he was waylaid by a mad drow elf that had aliigned himself with a dwarf, a halfling, and two humans. Seeing a fellow halfling with a drow made Thorin go mad. He ran away, fearing that they were some maniacs after his life.
After alot of running and moving from city to city he found himself captured and imprisoned in Castle Darkhold. After a few days, a Zhent wizard came along and took Thorin to his private rooms, where the wizards performed spells on Thorin. In other words Thorin was the test subject. Several days later the wizard was attempting to open a portal to other worlds in the universe, and succeeded. But Thorin was lost. Thorin found himself in an unknown city where he came across a group of people planning to create a guild in the name of Banshee. Since he nothing better to do and dearly felt he needed protection from the crazy drow and wizard, he joined.
And that is the story of Thorin Barmonger.

Garrett doesn't remember his original parents. He was raised by a halfling family of farmers. They named him and taught to fend for himself. Life was good for Garrett but one day his foster father got himself drunk. Knowing that his father rarely drinks he decided to pry what little information he could from him. After minutes of this subtle interrogation Garrett discovered that his family could not afford to pay for the farm. They were slowly going bankrupt. His father, an adventurer in his day, had taught Garrett some skills of thievery. Garrett vowed to use what he had taught him to make his fortune so that his family could own the farm they had worked so hard for.

After some thinking, here is my bio! Could you change my character info to include this bio Xandax? Thanks.

Meerlight Talathorne (Meer for short)
Human
Nuetral Good
Str:14
Dex:14
Con:14
Int:13
Wis:10
Cha:8

Meerlight was born into a noble family of sorcerers in Calimport. At the age of 14, Meer had not shown any signs of having innate magical abilities. The proud family saw Meer as a disgrace to the family line. As a result, he was disowned and cast out onto the streets of Calimport. Meer did not last long on the streets before a group of slavers captured him, planning on ransoming him back to his family. When the slavers found that Meer had been disowned, they sold him as a slave. He was sold to a necromancer within a week. Meer thought he was destined to become a servant of the necromancer, named Zemeckis, for the rest of his life, but Zemeckis had other plans. Zemeckis lived a few miles outside Calimport in a remote cottage. Meer was kept here while Zemeckis performed various rituals and experiments. On the night of the next full moon, Zemeckis took Meer to a circle of stones in the nearby hills. When Meer saw these stones he finally realized what the Necromancer was up to. Meer had read a book when he was with his family about lichdom. All of these rituals that Zemeckis had performed on himself and Meer were required to perform a ritual which which would transform a person into a lich after death. If Meer recalled correctly, the sacrifice of a child of noble birth was required in the ritual. Meer attempted to resist the Necromancer but was no match for his magic. Meer was held magically within the circle of stones as Zemeckis started the ritual. Luckily for Meer, a group of adventurers who had heard about Zemeckis plan for lichdom had been hiding around the circle of stones. They interrupted the ritual and injured Zemeckis before he teleported away. Meer accompanied the adventurers as a squire for six years until he decided to make his own destiny. Where his destiny will take him is unknown to all...

Shadows and fog surrounds the history of the young Drow, Virdel Mae'shar. Since his arrival to the surface world of Faerun, he has spoke little of past events. All that is known of the young warrior is his fight prowess, and rock hard resolve. He had come to the lands of of the surface for reasons known to himself. He looks back on his days in the unerdark, in Drow society with scorn and hatred, but never ceases in his ability to fight with the tenacity of a Drow of twice his age. Travel the lands with no companions, and only a hand full of meager possesions, he is what an Adventure yearns to be. Even being untrusted as he is, he has risked his life time and again to save villages under plight, and travels stranded on the road side. He expects not a word of thanks, nor an ounce of gold. He merely wishs to be alone. Let the wild be his solace. Virdel is a shadow of darkness, with a spirit of hope and light....

Der Mönch
Chaotic Neutral
Human
Cleric

Der Mönch was born into an aristocratic family; a fact which, considering the past history of the human aristocracy in Argyle, he does not generally reveal to casual acquaintances. However, those who do not know him may guess at his lordly past by his reference to the general public as “peasants,” his expensive tastes (in food, drink, clothing, living quarters, etc), and his generally haughty and distant nature. But the easy life of a lay-about aristocrat didn’t suit der Mönch, and he left family and fortune behind to pursue his own unique path. As an aside, it may be noted that this apparent sacrifice of station in life may have been rather more selfish than not: der Mönch’s corrupt and generally hated father had run the family nearly to the poorhouse, while at the same time so inflaming the “peasants” that a revolt could not be far behind. What became of his family after his departure, der Mönch does not know, and does not much seem to care. Being of a studious and philosophical nature (generally), it was his first thought to enter the clergy. Accordingly, he has recently become an initiate in the Priesthood of Oghma, the patron of Knowledge and Invention (“der Mönch,” is in fact the name he took when he entered the Priesthood, and is simply a translation of “the monk” in a local dialect of his native tongue; his family name he will not reveal to any but the most trusted of friends). A monastery, though, is no place for the bold nature of der Mönch, and he seeks to broaden his horizons and seek the path of enlightenment in the name of his deity, through adventure and travels.
There will be no Renaissance without Revolution.

Bio for Matti Il-Amin (modified for Argyle):

* * *

Matti was born in Port Hope by a mother from the city and a merchant father from Soberdan. His father showed very little interest in the boy, hated the small town despite the lucrative trade he had found, and left his wife and child at the age of 8. His mother let him roam and took out much of her failed marriage on the young boy, never physically abusive but neglectful and rarely expressing the love and compassion a mother should have for her child.

Matti's focus soon turned to his friends on the streets. He saw home less and less, but continued stopping by to support his mother, regardless of her often apathetic reaction to him. He had many of the physical traits of his father, something Matti was sure brought a painful reminder to his mother. He began to run with one of the local gangs, causing trouble, starting fights, and engaging in petty robbery. He would have gone completely down the wrong path, were it not for the fact her was caught and imprisoned for some minor crimes. A traveling cleric of Lathander happened upon the lad while visiting the prison and labor camp. His repeated visits to the boy eventually turned the young man's heart and he decided to change the course his life was taking. However, he was certainly not cut out for the clergy, so he decided upon entering the order of paladins.

His training was not pretty. He was far from the perfect student and he clashed harshly with most of his classmates who followed Torm and Try. He was often accused by other paladin-initiates of being light-hearted, brash, semi-disrespectful, sarcastic, and other such heinous crimes. Twice during his training he was cited for conduct unbecoming a paladin. Once, for using a local alchemist's sneezing powder during a sparring match (which Matti won, though it was quickly overturned, despite Matti's protest that there was technically nothing illegal about his ingenuity). The other incident involved flirting with the niece of the school's Commandant (it was all innocent, and how was Matti to know who she was...). Both times he talked his way out of it, mostly because the priests of Lathander felt it was motivated by youthful exuberance, something they felt was to be valued, though they hoped he would soon learn to express it more conservatively. These things made him rather unpopular with the stodgy Tyrans and Tormites, but he took it all in stride and graduated (barely), mostly through sheer determination and personality.

Far from your average paladin, he is good natured, joking, often loud, and far more tolerant than others among the orders. Matti always seems on the edge of getting in trouble, though somehow seems to avoid serious problems. He never waivers in his faith and optimism, and never seems to preach, opting to lead by example alone rather than by heavy-handed authority and preaching. He is occasionally reckless and often impulsive, though he seems to emerge all the better, prompting companions to wonder if he secretly pays homage to Tymora as well. While many doubt if he will last as a paladin, Matti doesn't seem to mind. He stays his course, secure in his faith, having fun and doing good, never seeming to mind that he has few friends among other paladins. He is a conflict of values among those of his class. Somehow, Matti gets by.

* * *

@Xandax, as if you're not already swamped  , could you please add this bio to my character on the website.

Matti Il-Amin has shoulder-length black hair, olive colored skin, medium build, and a disarming smile to (hopefully) charm the ladies ;) . I have yet to choose what weapons Matti will wield, but they will not be the typical "knightly" choices (no surprise there). Matti makes friends easily and enjoys the challenge of adventure. His turn-on's are sunset walks..., no, just kidding! ;) :D :D Can't wait to play the game. How long do we have to wait, again? :D *sigh*
