Do Skill Bonuses Stack?

Post by Wavemanmav »

In other words, would a skill bonus to Shield Skills for being a Paladin, and a similar bonus for being a Knight stack, or is it a waste to have the bonus twice?

If you mean learning bonuses, then yes they do. And multiple bonuses are vital in allowing your character reach high levels of any given skill.

Yes, I did mean Learning Bonuses. So, if I understand correctly, I should chose my classes so that I stack important learning bonuses?

Thus an Adept/Fighter/Imperial/Warlord/Valkyrie would have the following Learning Bonuses: Armor Skills (x5), Weapon Skills (x4), Pole Weapons (x3), Shields (x2), Athletics, Celestial Magic, Rune Magic.

If this is correct, her armor skill would have five learning bonuses?

Learning bonuses

As far as I know a 3x learning bonus doens't mean that when you upgrade that skill you will have moved up 3 level in that skill instead of one.
From what I can tell the experience needed for the next level of the skill is devided by the number of your leaning bonus.
Example: You need 60000 experience to get to the next level of Heavy Weapons, but if you have a learning bonus of 3x you'll only need 20000.
I think it works that way, though I am not sure, but I certainly know that there is no way to get up 3 levels in a skill by using just one click...
As for the Limits in the Speed, Strike etc., I heard someone say (don't exactly remember who but it was on this forum) that every race (Like Dwarf, Human , Elf, etc.) has it's own limits. My elf has a speed limit of 272, no matter how much I upgrade Agility anymore it won't go up, that's the way it works...
