You don't find the Thieves Guild. It finds you...

SPOILERS...

Commit a crime in a city, any crime, and go to jail. When you get released, stick around in the city--see the sights, maybe sleep. You'll be contacted by the Thieves Guild.

That's the easy way. Another, more interesting but involved route starts with some posters around town, but you sound like you want the direct way. :D

The posters sounds like an interesting route. And no jail term to serve, either?

It took me three full days of waiting before the dude would even commence the conversation about joining the TG. He kept telling me to be patient because not everyone was present.

Then, and here it loses a LOT of logic, he announced to the three of us that he'd never had to deal with 3 initiates before AND, since only ONE could join, it would have to be a CONTEST.

Now, WHY couldn't he have let us join ONE AT A TIME? It makes no sense doing it this way.

So i killed someone why not looks good on the record ;) .. but ya it took them about 3 days to contact me... but i was never really in a city though for the most part sleeping in an inn. Once i went to a city and slept in the inn is when she came, so i think they only deliever to the big cities.

This isn't a question. Read my first post, again. ;)

Guys, if you're going to put up spoilers, you're going to have to follow the guidelines spelled out in the "HEY YOU!" spoilers sticky thread you're *supposed* to read before posting. Otherwise, your posts are going to be deleted.

As now. :)

Um... I think the topic heading "Where is the thieves' guild" is more than enough of a warning that there are going to be spoilers inside. How could you possibly answer this question without giving a spoiler? Besides, my post was vague to the point that someone might even miss my clue.

Now, again,

** Redundant spoiler tag to further the point that this is a spoiler thread**

Clue: Talk to the beggars. You don't need to spend a night in jail.

you don't even need to talk to beggars, once you get enough fame through completing quests - they start approaching you in the towns and cities. its pretty crazy given how I've refused to do anything unlawful so far in the game yet i didn't even have an option NOT to learn about grey fox as a particular character just ran up to me as soon as I entered town and started yapping about it. im on fame 12, though this started happening at 10 i think.
