My specs match everything but the RAM. I have 254 mbs. Is there any way to boost that to 512 with Virtual Ram????
EDIT: It says I have 536 mbs total. Will it run???? Or does it have to be real???

Considering the game recommends 1GB of RAM (512 is the minimum), I really doubt it'd be enough, you should have at least 512MB of 'real' RAM, of course , I haven't tried the game so I don't know wat the performance would be like, but any computer will really slow down when it begins to run out of 'real' RAM and is forced to rely more and more on virtual memory.
You'll probably need to buy more RAM.

Well, I know the site is a little...off, but I worked with it and all, and found the trick to getting an appropriate response, it's like Adaware, you gotta run it a couple times to get a clear answer.
First-
Make sure you have NO viruses on your system. I did a system recovery recently and that was the second time I ran the test, getting a different answer, and a bit more of an appropriate one.
Second-
Make sure you run it about 3 more times to be on the safe side. If you get at least a similar response that your PC can run it, then you're good to go. I ran that thing 4 times just now after the system recovery, and got 4 exact same answers.
So, I know my PC can run it, maybe not at the best graphics, and maybe it's not got the recommended ram (but not the minimum, 760 or something like that), which I think I can deal with. Apparently it kept saying my processor runs at an equivelant of a 3.0, which it's 2.2 estimated. I think that's pretty nice for a processor, no?
But yeah, just thought I'd share that you need to run it a couple times with no viruses on your system to get a clear answer.
Hi
Do you think 2.0GHz Athlon XP, 1GB RAM and Radeon 9800Pro would run Oblivion ok?
It would. The only difference between our systems is the CPU (mine is AMD Athlon 64 3000+) and the game is as smooth as it can be with a lot of things turned on actually.

And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.
Graphics card for laptops
I have 3.2GHz P4, 1Gb RAM and an NVIDIA FX Go5600. The game does not work at all. It appears that the graphics card is not good enough even though it passed the requirements test. Does anyone know for sure which laptop graphics cards will run Oblivion with good performance?
3.0 Ghz P4
2Gb 3200/DDR 400 RAM
SATA Hard Drives
Nvidia Quadro FX1100 Card (Run AVID software so cannot change)
Game runs like crap so far even in low quality - unplayable -
Looks like I'll have to get Xbox360 to play....really wish I didn't have to do that....
The Quadro FX1100 is, IIRC, 5700 Ultra level. If you have the money, you can try upgrading to a Quadro FX4000 or a FireGL X3-256.
I bought Oblivion and it does run smoothly. So no need to upgrade my computer yet..
How exactly is the performance and at what settings? I'll be upgrading by video card so I'll have a system similar to yours

I'm thinking of buying a new laptop but I wanted to make sure it fits the requirements for Oblivion, and I have a feeling you guys know more about this than me. I think there might be an issue with the amount of GHz on the processor? Does it help me in any way that it's a dual core?
Specs:
Processor: Intel Core i3 380M
Clock speed: 2.53 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
RAM technology: DDR3 SDRAM - 1066 MHz
Graphic processor: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730
2 GB DDR3 SDRAM
