Tailing Quill-Weave *Spoiler*

Ok, so i'm on the quest in Anvil where i am to tail Quill-Weave at night... It doesnt take much brains to guess she does something to the hole in Arvena's house...

However, i cant seem to complete the quest.. I've used about 4 irl hours on it so far, and tailed her about 25 times... I'm a Journeyman in Sneak and 100% sure she never sees me.. I've seen her having conversations with guards, but her movement is completely random and sometimes she doesnt even get close to Arvenas house...

Can anyone please give me a hint on how to do this fairly easy... Should i not Sneak, do i need to be close enough to hug her leg to complete the quest, heeelp i'm getting so frustrated :(

She started sneaking herself about 8pm from somewhere near the gate that leads to the back yard of the Rat Lady ... just follow her from there without her noticing. I was two houses further down the road by then, behind a pillar, or corner, don't remember now, and already in sneak position. Everything before that doesn't count from what I've seen.

Wait in the garden off in the direction opposite where she enters Arvena's yard or behind the large shrub a little closer to Arvena's yard. Then as soon as Q-W starts to leave go into Arvena's yard and find that she left a piece of meat, venison I think, behind. Examine it and it will give you the proof to confront Q-W. You'll get a journal update. Confront her then and there, you'll have the menu options to do it. She offers you a deal, which you may or may not want to take. I think she'll give you agility training, Arvena will give you merchantile training if you "rat" her out.

I had the same problem, I just watched her for a while but all she did was walk around talking to people. So just went and talked to her, then after our conversation she went into sneak mode right in front of me. I just stood still until she got a bit ahead of me and I started following her. So maybe try that method.

you don't really have to check on the meat she left behind. I started following her when she leave the tavern and ended up sneaking in the backyard of her own house (next to the tavern) when she was loitering behind the tavern. Then when she was sneaking into Arvena's backyard, I quickly rush up and caught her as she was just leaving the gate of Arvena's backyard and she confessed of her misdeed.

as a side note, Arvena have some pretty stylish looking rats there in her basement.... :laugh:
