Post by adamousman999 »

Ok, i played this game on my friends computer and Im IN LOVE WITH IT!

I want to buy it, but im not sure if it will run well on my laptop.

I have a Dell XPS, 3.4 GHZ, 1.0 GB of ram, and an ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 video card.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me if this game will run at decent resolutions cause i want to buy it in the next day and i really need to know. Thanks in advance, and i look forward to posting with you all in the future!

System requirements are right there in the link.

I think it will work, because you fit the minimal requirements. (Can't guarantee it, ofcourse, so please don't sue me if it doesn't!)

However, your graphic card seems to be under the recommended level, which might implicate a decrease of graphical quality.

And welcome to Gamebanshee. *politely suppresses evil grin* :p

Well, all of my other requirements meet AND surpass the recommended specs. Is the fact that my video card is not exactly up to par with the recommended ones going to handicap me that much?

Also, my computer can run Doom 3 and the latest Splinter Cell quite well... shouldnt it be able to handle Oblivion quite decently?

It will run. No promises on high settings, though.

Your responses are steadfast and helpful; I'm much obliged to you all. I believe I will go ahead and purchase the game, cause i did have quite an obsession with Morrowind.

im playin it on my laptop...i got an amd 64 3400 (i think its 1.8 ghz) 1 gb ram and the same video card as you...you got more processor speed (debatable but not the point)...its gets a little choppy outdoors with all the draw distance and what not....i would absolutely love to see this game with every graphics setting shot up to the highest, but for the most part im totally addicted to this game and the choppy frames here and there do not bother me one iota....enjoy this game!!!.....and it will run
