Shushishi is actually a bandit cave, and it is more directly east of Caldera then northeast. If you start near the woman who gives you the quest, you'll need to go east over a mountain, and you'll probably need too levitate. You could approach it from another direction, but that would be more difficult. Once you clear the mountain, the best thing to do is bring up your local map and monitor it as you move around, looking for a door, which should appear on the map. This place is awkward to get to, but it is very close to Caldera.

Go to Caldera.
Walk towards the ebony mine.
Approaching the mine buildings along the path from the East, it should be up and to your right IIRC... It is definately up a slope. There is someone outside the door. The other 3 are inside...

The mine is a pain to find - its kinda just off the path that leads through the mountains. if you follow the instructions on the walkthrough and just levitate all the way to the other side of the mountains you will come across a path again and it is somewhere around there (its is actually on a path that comes off the path that goes up to ghostgate - i found it while trudging up to go to the shrine up there)

I'm pretty sure its to the right of the bridge when you first enter the Caldera Mining Camp. The man on the out side is a master trainer so don't hesitate to kill him.

Hard to find - really???

Locate the woman that gave you the heirloom quest, levitate over the mountains. Once in the fault between two mountain chains (leading ultimately to Ghostgate) go right (app. south) and at the end of the fault on your right you will find the cave... That's it.

I think its hard to find if you go by the walkthrough. my first time looking I checked the walkthrough as I couldn't work out where it was (in the end i realised I was going in the opposite direction lol cos I didn't read the instructions properly during the dialogue :) ) . If you go directly east by levitation you can't miss it at all (at least that's what I found after I restarted as a new character)
