Unseeing EyE! Need help!

Ok so i cleared out the Beholder area , put together the rift device and killed the Unseeing eye, Then i noticed that the rift device wasnt in my quickslot anymore, so i just figured it was in my inventory, so i looted the unseeing eye and went back to the Avatar in the ancietn temple andhe refuses to talk to me si i retrace my steps to make sure i didnt drop the Device anywhere by mistake, Its not in my inventory =(, i have no saves b4 that part so i cant go back...is there anyway to fix this ...if not what items / xp am i going to miss from not turning it back in?

Was your player character's inventory full? This would cause the device to be put in someone else's inventory. But you've checked everybody's inventory, right?

What I would do is just Shadowkeeper the thing in. The item ID for the depleted rift device is MISC5Z. Shadowkeeper is a nice little app you should have anyway, and it makes it easy to add in items.
