Dragoning a long

Hmmmm ??, I was told to seperate them in one of the posts.
No, I have not done the Owls Wisdom potion. Isn't that for magic users or Mages ?. I'll give it a shot.

What was your character when you went through ?. Mines not that strong.

I'm sure it works to separate them I just have never done it so I can't tell you how to go about it, that's all I meant.

The Owl's Wisdom potion will raise your Wisdom stat, which will in turn help your Will Saving Throws against spells.

I went through the OC with a Fighter/Rogue and just started another run with a Wizard. I went through SOU with a Monk and am going to take him through HOTU.

I don't tend to seperate them, just focus completely on one as much as possible to take him down fast then focus on the other. also, if things get two intense with both of them attacking at once, just drink a speed potion and run to the other side of the cavern, quickly regroup, take a few more potions then when they catch up with you just carry on beating them to a pulp again.

Well, I did it.
I drank every potion I had and gave the same to my two cohorts.
It was not to be in separating the two Dragons. They come at you each time as the Kalin twins. We just worked on the Copper Dragon and then went for the Silver one. OH, yes !!, I forgot and "DRANK EVERY HEALING POTION I HAD !!! in the fight". Not only do you have to heal yourself, but also your side kicks.
I recommend buying lots of serious wounds healers.

I also went on to fight more of the Old ones warriors. That also takes lots of healing potions.
I also recommend buying lots of healing potions ( portal and go back to town ) stock up, save and head back each time.

I'm now up against the main Queen and she has more of her friends to Battle.

hahaha, you obviously forgot to exploit your teleport stone. the way you handled the dragons was just about the only way TO do it, but you should have teleported back to the temple for healing rather than using ALL your portions. of course, i went through NWN and ended the game with, ah... 80 bottles of cure critical wounds. still have em in HotU, still not really using them (rings of regeneration are AWESOME).

at any rate, it took me three tries to figure out how to beat the queen, so if you need help on that let me know.

neh, in the queen's lair you can't use the recall stone. You can, however, use it in the two dragon battle. I did it myself. although, i have the diamond edition of the game so maybe it's different in that regard (ie, a few of the exploits listed in the walkthrough have been patched in the diamond ed)

Do I run over to that statue and bang on it ???.
The Evil one is in some protective circle there ?.

If you have any way of inflicting damage on the lizards near the statues, preferably from as far away as possible, that would help you a lot. Every one of those lizards taken down will make Morag a weaker foe.

morag is pretty sucky anyway. the main thing you have to worry about are her two summoned bodyguards. Kill them, and then ignore morag as you kill her protectors. each of her protectors saves her from one kind of damage and can only be killed by that same kind of damage (ie, the fire one can only be killed by fire). Your job, then, is to have your henchman distract her while you figure a way to kill the lizard folks. After you've killed a couple of the meditating lizards, go ahead and attack morag who should now be vulnerable.

Yeah, that would help. I used the Horrid Wilting spell once, which killed a few of them, but if you can use your bow that would be useful. Have different types of ammunition prepared too (e.g. fire, electric) for specific protectors. You might be able to separate Morag from her protectors after that by firing an arrow at her and retreating back into the corridor.

I'm trying to remember if i had my staff or my bow equipped during that fight... i know i wasn't carrying my sheild so it was probably my bow, but i dont remember trying to shoot morag, she just came after me. then again, i wasnt watching my henchmen or summoned animals, maybe one of them hit her. it seemed odd to me that she wasn't trying to lay me out with a bunch of awesome spells, especially when she could only deal me about 3 to 10 damage if she could manage to hit me. or maybe my spell immunities were high enough that she did but just couldnt manage to get me...

Well, if you're using a bow, you can attack an enemy from beyond their sight, however, it's possible with the size of the room and the position of Morag, that she would immediately spot you after opening the door.

or it could be that after brutally murdering her two bodyguards and waiting for the spell of those dumb swords to go away, that she noticed me when i ran right close to her protectors to blast em with a few spells. I didnt know you were getting her attention from the door, i just went forward and she noticed me that way.

Great stuff here

First of all when I open the door, she is waiting there with a monalog of some kind. Then she goes up in a puff of red smoke. That's when the two Lizard boys come to.
I have hid in the corridor but they come in after me.
If I could kill one ( that is have the right ammo for him ) then I think I can pull it off. But When they both come at you it is tough. Not to mention no matter how many times I tell my companions to stay with me, they go running off to fight one of the Lizard men.

OK,, I have killed the Lizard men. Now to kill the Queen but I see there are some stutues that are inside the ring of spikes (that come out of the ground ). The Statues glow red and green.
I keep hearing "My weapon has no Effect". She has come out from the safty of the inner circle, and is laying all kinds of spells on me.

If you look at the top of the area where Morag is, you should see some lizard priests praying - you need to kill some of these. Each of those protects Morag from a particular type of damage so, for example, if you kill the fire one then you can hurt Morag by fire. Take out the ones which are relevant to the type of damage you want to do and then just lay into her. Use speed/haste and buff up your strength, AC etc. and hit her hard and fast. She is pretty easy to kill once you get her defenses down. Whenever you get low on health, take a heal potion etc. and you should be fine.

MR .Sir

Thanks , but one problem. When I fire at them ( praying Lizards ) with my bow he yells out " my weapon is not effective". When I hit her the same. What weapon is it ?. How do you know which one of the priest Lizard is what ?

If you bash the statue in front of the priests, it will dispel the barrier of blades in front of them.

Then just examine each priest. If you are using a bow, you obviously want to target the one that grants her immunity to piercing damage, and if you are using fire arrows, the one that grants her immunity to fire damage, or whatever kind of arrow you're using.

As far as detroying all the priests, it would only let me do damage to the ones that were applicable to what weapon I had equipped. Not sure if this was a bug, but it doesn't sound like it was that way for everyone.

To be honest with you, I thought the battle with Morag was too easy, for me it was over in like 2 minutes and I had the difficulty set to hardcore rules. However, you know how that goes too, I'm sure some battles that I had a hell of a time with, were a breeze for others.
