Most shrines I've been to have a quest with a minimum requirement of lvl 10. I've never been to Azura's Shrine yet, so I'm not sure about this one.

Please remember the contents of the sticky thread at the top of the forum, thoughtfully marked "HEY, YOU" to get your attention. The one that says a thread like this must have a SPOILER tag, or posters might end up losing their posting privileges.

I'll change this thread title. You're responsible for the next one.

You need glow dust for Azura's and that means killing off at least one wil-o-the-wisp and that means one heck of a fight on your hands. I fought two and they almost had me, both times. Very, very hard.
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

heres a little trick for fighting will o the wisp: stay in sneak mode and use a magical bow to hit them from a distance and move back into a good hiding spot....sometimes they will vanish and reappear behind or next to you and your in for a fight but usually u can pick em off with the previously mentioned tactic

I found some glow dust in a dungeon and went back to the shrine. I clicked on the statue and nothing happened. Does this have to be "fresh" glow dust maybe or am I doing something wrong here?
(edit) The quest log shows you have to be level 2 to begin this quest. I am level 11.

It has to be dawn or dusk when you click the statue.
It is azura shrine after all ;)

Does someone know where to find these will-o-wisps...?

Well they should be around Azura's shrine, walk around a bit. I also see them outside of Bravil a lot, or there about.

Wow - that shows how different game experiences can be. I have never had a problem with Will-o-Wisps - as long as you are using an enchanted weapon they seem to go down pretty fast.

Now - big brutes that hit hard - ogres and the like - those I have trouble with...

Thanx... I'll try to find them as soon as I can then :)

btw... I'm not that lucky with these shrines... I have to get a Black Soul Gem somewhere now, as a sacrifice to another shrine... And the only ones I've yet seen, is two gems I delieverd to Deetsan (or whats her name) in a mages guild, somewhere.... My brother have completed the game, and have told me he never see those gems any other place... Can that be true...?

If you are really having an issue taking out the Will of the Wisp's, you can always try and purchase Glow Dust from the Market District in the Imperial City. This may be a little bit easier than taking on the Wisp's directly. Especially if you are doing this quest shortly after it becomes available at Level 2.

There are other black sould gems to be found in the Mages Guikld quests - for example, in the altar at the Dark Fissure - but I long ago sold those and they are not available for resale. Now I am stuck where you are......I figure there must be some available, perhaps in ruins held by necromancers - but haven't found any yet.

Have you guys considered "Making" Black Soul Gems?
First:
Find one of the four Necromancer Lairs:
Dark Fissure (east from the shrine of Vaermina), Fort Istirus (east of Kvatch), Fort Linchal (north east of Kvatch), or Wendelbeck (at the headwaters of the Panther River).

Second:
Take an empty Grand Soul Gem and a Soultrap spell to any of the four Necromancer lairs. There will be an altar which will only be active one day of the week. When the time is right, a beam of light shines down from the sky. You may need to wait up to six game days. Place your Gem on the altar when it is active and cast Soultrap on it to make a Black Soul Gem.
Hopefully this will help. :D

Actually, I was planning on trying this - though I was wondering if that option still worked after the Mage Guild quests were compoleted.

Out of curiosity, though - how would anyone figure this out if they were not doing the Mage Guild quests?

*Shrug* Good question. :) It is probably pretty unlikely that someone would figure that out without doing the Mage's Guild Quests, seeing as how obscure it is. (Especially given the limited time window involved with the whole process) I'd have to give props to anyone who managed to figure this out in advance of completing the Mage's Guild Quest.
