Good Classes combo? Any thoughts?
Good Classes combo? Any thoughts?
I like Fighter/Mage..
Fighter/Mage/Samurai/Sorcerer/Hatamoto with all fighter heraldry. Since dont really need much arcane spell, only nova if theres too many weakling ones, ghost, stuff like that.
I like this combo because of dual light + critical strike + sneak + heavy armors + Inflict wounds.
what about you guys? I am just curious.. post here what combo u like or what u are playing?

I just started a new file, it is currently a lvl 11 Fighter/Mage/Valkeryie/Imperial and i will soon add warlord to that. I love pole weapons, and my chick is starting to kick serious ass with them, it is not even funny. It is a path i seriously recomend. But to agument this ability I have a high lvl nether magic skill, I love being able to summon armies of minotaurs to fight along side me. With this character i have killed over 5 dragons, my stratigy? I use ice shards (i have 30 charges) to freeze them and while i'm doing that my 20+ minotaurs are beating the life out of the dragon , nether magic is a definate must.

yes nether magic is fun to use if u know how to use it. its like a Summoner character.
And thats nice strategy to beat the dragons(ice shards with armies attacking them).
I dont really see much use in rune magics...

Runes
Hello.
Yeah, when you first look at the rune magic it seems rather useless, but when you're fighting Nauselom in Multipleyer and the Adept of the gang casts sanctuary just before Nauselom uses his staffs Nether volley... Well... You can imagine wheat happens... Or when you are fighting some foes and you suddenly notice that you have certain boosts on you that make you almost invincible, I think it was actually invented for multiplayer use.

rouge/fighter/maurauder/budoka/ninja lord
this is a really good combination. i had it with a zeur, or however you spell it. you get bonuses on athletics, all the thief skills, ninjitsu, nether magic, dual light weapons(both maurauder and ninja lord have it so you can level it up easily). let see what else. oh yea critical strike with dual weapons. you don't get to use magic weapons with this combination but its still a really deadly combo.

Fighter/Mage/Battlemage/Samurai/Hatamoto
-loses some Parry "learning bonuses" from obtaining the 2 mage classes, but gets to wear heavy armor.
-gets use of "learning bonuses" from Arcane Magic skill, which is nice for when melee just won't do the trick.
-Inflict Wounds skill combined with weapons with +XX% Inflict Wounds on them just reaps the souls right from the enemies.
-Critical Hit, is a nice thing so you don't have to do a whole bunch of clicking on your mouse (each physical attack) when running EXP/ADV-point runs (level-building). Because some enemies have a load of Health Points and take a while to completely drain of all their life...ie> (beating up firedrakes, moonbeasts, psn/ice/red-worms, and anything worth its time in EXP/ADV points).
-Dual Weapons is like saying your character has become a "Living Blender". Short weapons like kamas are so extremely fast...and since the off-hand has to have a light weapon, kamas are the perfect choice, imho.
-The Master Heraldry is a God-send. With fast dual weilding swinging going on with +302Speed (with Heraldries), getting that +10%For Double Damage becomes a reality quite often.
Female Elf_Mage/Rogue/Sorcerer/Enchantress/Wizard
-Pure destruction as it gets the most learning bonuses to Arcane Magic skill.
-Gets Spellfire.
-Female Elf has the easiest time raising Intelligence.
-And Intelligence increases the spells damage, the spells regeneration rate, and it reduces the costs of skills. How could anything get any better than this?
-With lower strength, this character gets great learning bonuses from thief skills so as to be able to disarm traps/cabinets/locks...without ever having to refer to the bash option.
Rogue/Fighter/Imperial/Hunter/Rangerlord
Rogue/Adapt/Monk/Hunter/Rangerlord
-It's interesting...and I really wanted this to work for both Rangerlord characters, but even with the Special heraldry that the Rangerlord gets...the damage is just too low. And even with Hawkeye at level 11...its just not good enough to take down Moonbeasts and Firedrakes fast enough.
-I got my Dexterity up to 107 on one of my Rangerlords (before I knew that there was an actual strike bug)...and I just retired this character. As it got too hard raising the Dexterity, Intelligence, and Hawkeye all at the same time.
-Also, I was still using that crappy Green Bow (poison bow). And unfortunately just got tired of never coming across any of the better bows. Maybe I quit too early, but the strike bug is what really stopped me from finishing.
-I got a nether shuriken from some quest or something, but it just wasn't the same...as I prefer to roleplay my Rangerlords with bows...the throwing weapons have always been roleplayed to me as being that of a ninja or samurai.
Fighter/Adapt/Valkyrie/Imperial/Warlord
-It was fun, but probably getting into the strike bug is what made me want to retire this character.
-I'm also still not sure if it was even a good idea to choose Valkyrie with Imperial and Warlord...as it was probably too many learning bonuses to Heavy Polearms and to all Heavy Equipment (Weapons & Armor). (Overkill). As, eventually raising Weapons and Armors skills beyond a certain point seems to not make any difference (once weapon/armor skill requirement is achieved). However, the exception to this rule seems to be Ninjitsu.
-You do get a pretty powerful weapon, The Winged-Destroyer, from doing the Valkyrie 2nd tier class objective.
-The Master Heraldry when it kicks in, allowed my Winged-Destroyer to do damage of ~30's-120's...pretty nice.
-Polearms are still over-rated and aren't all that powerful compared to many one handed weapons that do the same amount of damage.
There were a lot of other builds that I've played and felt that I could have shared here...but these come to mind as being the more memorable.
